why obama is prompting companies to not outsource the job.
I think this will send a wrong signal to world community about open trade and market policies.
I think if companies need to be in competition , they need to cut their cost. But there would be some ensurity of jobs. What are your views.

I think recessions made situations worst.. so the crises of jobs now everywhere.. and IN USA recession affected very much.. so now Obama don't want to outsource the job because they want to give job only from US citizens..

UNless they find ways to cut their too much taxes, they can't blame the agents but the investors who started the Outsourcing in our countries. and i believe there's no apparent solution to that problem now.

Hi anurag, interesting discussion. :)
Before you start condemning Obama, I think you need to review advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing. By outsourcing you cut costs, so you earn more profits, which increases the monies in the hands of shareholders, who then buy goods that they want, effectively increasing profits of another company, which then pays better taxes, and the government can do several other good things for the country. Nice theory, and it works as well. However, within limits. There has to be a balance between getting more taxes this way, and employment situation within the country. As yet, imbalance is rather high. I think this is only to be expected. In due course of time, things will improve and become more systematic. :)

You know why?
First, Call center Jobs belong to the Americans and most of its citizens prefer to talked to an american. well, no offense am from the Philippines and we also got a lot of share when it comes to outsourcing. we also have both outbound and inbound call centers.
But i believe what Obama is doing is trying to convince the companies in the US to give CSR and telemarketing jobs to the american people.
here's the reality now. sadly, there's too much tax and expenses in the US that one couldn't afford to run an expensive call center. therefore, they result into cheaper labor and that to outsource into country like India and the US..
Profits only goes to US entrepreneurs but ordinary citizens don't. @dorannmwin (36392)

I believe that the reason that Obama is prompting companies to not outsource jobs is because of the fact that we have been through a period of recession and a big part of the recession is because of the fact that there have been so many jobs in this country that have been lost. If it weren't for the recession that we've been going through, I don't think that the urging of companies to not outsource would be happening as it is.
