Yes, I'm afraid so. An old guy on one of those mobility scooters travelling in the road with a roll of carpet on it for company. The mind boggles! Enjoy! http://uk.cars.yahoo.com/29092010/74/mobility-scooter-driver-takes-carpet-ride.html

You find that kind of stuff here too...only thing, they're on the right side of the road. He's lucky he didn't dump the scooter!

The thing is there are people who have these scooters that have absolutely nothing wrong with them, as in this case. It wouldn't surprise me if this guy was able to place that carpet on his scooter himself. Makes a mockery of the system. The times I've been nearly run over by one and that was on the pavement!!

I hear you. Some scooter drivers need driving instructions...I've almost been taken out by a couple myself, usually in the grocery store. And I also agree, I believe some scooter drivers should be walking instead of driving.

Yes, I suppose the scooters make them lazier don't they? I reckon my Dad could probably claim for one with his poorly legs but he chooses to walk instead (sometimes in agony) but it's his choice and I admire him for it. Bit worrying in all the ice a few months ago but he managed it and..to his credit, the weather didn't deter him from going out. Good for him!

Wow! I've seen everything now. Look rather dangerous to me. I thought that the car that was filming him may have been a cop car. Most of the mobility scooters around here tend to rid on the footpath anyway as there are one or two boy-racers flying about the place. _Derek

I'm not too sure what the law is for these things (perhaps there isn't one which is why people ride them like maniacs) as I've seen them on both the pavement and road. Dangerous whichever way you look at it because, on the pavement the riders want everyone out of the way and on the road..well, their spatial awareness is a bit..er, limited, do you know what I mean? There was a mobility scooter parked up for years outside the Layton Institute (working mens' club) but I think it was there to help the guy get back home without falling over as there was absolutely nothing wrong with him!

Mirror on a motorbike - This is pretty crazy stuff. I came across this a few years ago in an email and just had to save it!
That is hilarious. If the guy is that immobile that he needs a scooter, I hope he has someone to help him lay it and remove it off him! The funniest thing I have seen in traffic in real life was in China where I saw two palm trees being carried on a motorbike! But have a look at this photo below that I got a few years ago in an email!

Haha! You gotta admire how the Chinese balance stuff. Very good. Thanks for sharing!

I've lost count of the laws some of them are breaking there my friend (in this country at least) but I guess it's more exciting where you are!
