Hello, Everyone, I am still pretty new here. I and many others want to get some real discussions going that are not just yes and no answers.. well... I think one of the only ways we are going to start getting beyond this yes and no phase, is to discover our interests... Find out what the members of the board are interested in!. So What Topics or Interests do you Love and enjoy discussing? Why do you love discussing these topics and interests? And what are your tips to making a very good discussion count? :) ... What would you all like to see discussed more of? What topics would you like to all see avoided? ... And what can each of us do to contribute and turn this forum into not just a forum, but a very neat place to hang out and have fun as we have real informative discussions? :) ... Is there anything people here would love to learn about? Is there are favorite topics of subjects in history? Please reply Let's start to get to know what eachothers interest is, so we can better learn to write for our target audience (eachother.) :). - DNatureofDTrain :) .

Hello. Just 'happened' across your profile (because of your response in another topic). I love the same things you do. Please be my friend. I have started a marking system called 'QQA' - Quality Questions and Answers which I am going to apply to all interesting things that I read, so that hopefully I do not have to spend so long reading through things that I dont find that interesting. There are some other people who are also going to tag things with 'QQA' so that all you have to do is search that tag and you might find some interesting things. Obviously not all of us will find the same things QQA but at least it will cut down a bit on trawling. I will still try and get some no response discussions going at least a few times a day, because some of them are potentially so interesting and it would be a shame if they went to waste. I sincerely hope you will consent to being my friend, so I can check your profile now and again. My cats too send their love to yours. They are on my profile, as they kindly allow me to spend time on here they have the right to be part of it all. Regards.

I've found the qqa idea very helpful because I get bored easily it's stopped me having to trawl through what I regard as inane discussions.

Thanks, and yes the QQA tag does help alot. I have not been tagging many that way, but I sure have been enjoying many helpful discussions, as well as doing my best to share. Glad your kitties are happy to see mine. My kitties are farm kitties so they can see yours other than the spirit kitties are probably cuddling with yours and everyone elses :) ... Take care, - DNatureofDTrain

The QQA is a good idea too. Also search on Favorite Discussions. Some people have threads where you can share links to the discussions you had enjoyed the most. .. I do topic searches, and answer other questions to people who have posted questions I had enjoyed answering, or seem to be crying out for a little extra help. I know that I have some poems too I will Tag my poems and stories I wrote DNatureofDTrain ... When I submit them... Usually I submit them to threads that have others poems and stories as well... So it leads to more then just my stuff. Well nice to meet you, Take care, - DNatureofDTrain

Though I have a special interest towards books and computers, I like to learn something new whatever subject it comes under. So I like any type of discussion. I think it is a challenge to answer even a discussion like “What’s your name?” in a descriptive manner. I have found a lot of diverse discussions, including riddles, jokes, facts, requests for advice, all of which are of great value to me. I normally start from discussions with 0 responses, as most of the good discussions don’t get much responses.

Heehee. It's funny when you still respond to a topic like "What's your name?" I think that's the most nonsense topic ever. LOL! :)

I like discussions that require some thought. I know mylot do be kept busy deleting all the 'yes' 'no' posts because its against the terms and one's that ask for your name etc. Unfortunately because people want to earn they post any old rubbish and it keeps recurring all the time with different users! It's SOOOOO annoying!

I do too, discussions with thought for me flow easier.. So I been trying to answer anything that would be yes or no, with Yes, Because... Share a story. Hoping this will catch onto posters if they see us all responding with more then a yes or a no, to what we feel like responding to. I also been searching for topics I have many thoughts on, so that makes me better for me. Yes, it does. But at least on this thread, I am getting to know what people do not find annoying and hoping we can get going on posting things that will peak all of our interests :) - DNatureofDTrain

I enjoy a variety of discussions but one of my favorite areas is sports, I'm glad mylot has the new option of defining a category when you start a discussion that way there might be more organized ones into the categories. Of course my fear is those that just want to earn money won't put theirs in a category because they just want as many short answers as possible so they will put it in general and not take advantage of the good idea by mylot.

I like to respond to lots of different topics and enjoy learning about the culture in other countries. I don't like the ones with yes/no answers or things like 'have you had a bath?'

As there are so many people from different countries in here, I would like to be able to chat and ask these people things about where they live, etc. as maybe would one day be able to go to that country and have a bit of an idea of what it is like! And if I never got there still makes for an interesting convo.

Most of the topic i started deals with politics, games, blogging, technology and basically anything that interest me. In order to have a good topic one must consider if he really have an indepth knowledge on the topic, or else the topic he srated will die down as fast as he started it =). Quality should and always be considered before starting a topic.
