The cure for human pain!

As most of my Lot friends know, I haven't been around a lot. I tried to brush it off as I have been busy. It isn't quite the truth. I have been experiencing more and more pain in my legs every day. I dread getting up in the morning because the legs hurt so badly when I stand on them. The only reasons I do get out of bed is because of nature's call and that the dogs and cats need their meals.
This morning was one of those deeply dreaded mornings, I had a headache and the legs hurt even more than usual. Unfortunately the toilet was calling me like no one's business so I sucked it up and climbed gingerly out of bed. I have a wall close to the bed and used it to steady me to the bathroom. Of course Abby the pit lab mix had to go into the dachshunds room and let them know I was up...so they were demanding to be let out and fed.
Breakfast was served to the hounds and I got dressed and then fed cats. After all of that, I sat on the couch to rest the throbbing legs. C.D., the Dachshund puppy that I adopted a couple of months ago eats away from the older guys, then he gets to wander around the house. I was sitting on the couch when I heard the scrunch scrunch of plastic. I knew it was one of the plastic bowls that my noodle dinners come in. C.D. had helped himself to one out of the recycling bin. He padded around the house with it in his mouth happily showing off his prize to everyone. Then I heard a thud in my bedroom. I eased myself to the end of the couch and gritted my teeth to screw up my courage to face the pain of standing up...I didn't have to worry. Suddenly I heard the thundering of paws racing down the hallway. I turned my head to see a white flash and then a tan and black flash. I smiled a bit when I realized that it was C.D. chasing Khuay down the hallway. CD still had the plastic bowl in his mouth. The thunder of paws stopped for a couple of seconds and then suddenly they sounded again. This time I was treated to the vision of a small tan dachshund puppy trying to run down the hallway...with his vision impeded by the rectangular bowl blocking his vision. He had shifted his grip and the bowl was now length wise covering his eyes so he couldn't see where he was going. He was trying to race through the house with Khuay chasing him...but he kept running into stationary objects, like the refrigerator, cupboards, doors, door jams, carpets, furniture and even dog dishes. I laughed like an idiot over the antics.
CD finally made it to my bedroom with Khuay still chasing him. CD then dropped the dish and turned around and chased Khuay back down the hallway and into my office.
Talk about great medicine! My legs still hurt but at least I had a laugh to help me tolerate the pain.

What is causing your legs to hurt? Did I miss a discussion, or have I just forgotten? Have you seen a doctor, or is anything being done. You are so right, a good, deep laugh is restorative. So is a cry, and so is singing/dancing. I know that is a little beyond for sore legs, though.

Really! What a pair! sounds like the time my neighbors told me of the time Singer chased the rabbit across the back yard, then was chased back across by the rabbit!
Laughing doesn't stop the pain, but does make it more tolerable, by releasing endorphins... I could use a good laugh myself sometimes

Hi Loverbear...I never get tired of reading about the escapades your furbabies create. Yes our furbabies can and do give us the ability to laugh at their antics even when we feel like crapolya. I've been having pain issues too, not as severe as you, but for awhile now I've been having a bout of bronchitis and on top of that managed to get a mild case of the flu...so I'm in great form myself. NOT. And yes there are days I don't feel like getting out of bed either, but yes, nature calls and I have my obligation to feed my own "baby" Kissy
Urgh...Tuesday should be an "interesting" day----I'm expecting plumbers to do some major work in the bathroom and that means I'll have to force myself to go to bed early the night before since they are coming early in the morning..NOT looking forward to it. And they BETTER clean up after any messes they make
