My mother read to me a lot as a child, which spurned my love of books, one author in particular, Roald Dahl, he wrote Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, The Fantastic Mr.Fox[many of which are also movies]...anyways did anyone else read his books as a child, or at all? =]

I recently started reading some of Roald Dahl's short stories for adults. At first I borrowed one collection of short stories at the library, but I liked his stories so much that I decided to read the other collections of short stories as well. Not all of his stories have been translated to Danish, but I borrowed the books that I could get at my local library. I am thinking about buying the English version of his books online, because I would like to read some of his other books as well.
When I was a child I watched "Charlie and the chocolate factory" on tv. I didn't notice his name at that time, I just loved the story. When I started reading his stories for adults, I decided to find some information about him online, and I was surpriced when I discovered that he was the person behind "Charlie and the chocolate factory".

I love Dahl, especially the Charlie books. We read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in my classroom. James and the Giant Peach was a good book, too, although the child abuse portrayal was a bit hard to bare.

I never read any of Roald Dahl's books. I was more into Judy Blume, Beverly Cleary and Laura Ingall's. I have seen a couple of Roald Dahl books made into movies like James and the Giant Peah, Matilda and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I loved all the movies, they were very interesting.

Yes I did, even though I don't remember much about it these days. But I think he is a wonderful author for sure!

I love Roald Dahl! I found him quite late, when I was in my early twenties, but even then it was so entertaining, I borrowed all his books. I can honestly say he's one of the authors that did wonders for my English, I've learnt way more than I ever did in English classes.
