I have loved this man since I first clapped eyes on him. And it starts where I first saw him... well, not watching Mad Men, but the show she's watching...
So, more news about him, and oh, there are 5 grand kids!

Oh, I agree with you. I was smitten with him from the first! Man From U.N.C.L.E!!! Ilya Kuryakin. That name was even mentioned on NCIS in one episode when Abby (I think) wondered what Ducky looked like when he was young. Gibbs asked if she'd ever seen pictures of Ilya Kuryakin! I laughed out loud. I loved that show and everything about him. Now, I usually take to dark haired men with natural tans (Bobby Darin in Time Tunnel was one), but I fell hook, line and sinker for David. And, he still has "it"! I'm still smitten!!
Thank you for the link to the article. I'm on page two and plan to finish it as soon as I'm off here. His wife looks almost like a twin of someone I used to work with. She's a most fortunate woman!!

He was probably my first love. When I was a girl, a friend and I worshiped him. We never missed the show, and tried to dress like him etc. I took a picture of the TV when he was on, and looked at it all the time! I watched NCIS the first time, just because he was on it. I have been watching it ever since. I like all the characters on that show, but I must admit there is something special about the scenes Ducky is in. @Maggiepie (7816)

I haven’t heard about David McCallum in a very long time and I am amazed at good he still looks considering he has five grandchildren, time flies! I remember him from The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and that was a few years ago to say the least. Thanks for the update on him...

I haven't seen this man in years! I used to watch him on The Man From U.N.C.L.E., myself, and I really admired him! I always thought he was from England but this article says he's from Scotland. Thank you for updating us on David McCallum. He looks pretty good for his age, don't you think? His wife is pretty, too!

I started watching NCIS for two reasons: 1) I AM A MYSTERY/CRIME-SHOW ADDICT and 2) Mark Harmon. Still, with the exception of DiNozo, my daughter and I find ourselves thrilling over each and every member of the cast!
Of course, I remember U.N.C.L.E. and being torn between Robert and David. I think I was all of 7 years old at the time. One week I would be crushing on Robert Vaughn, the next week it would be David McCallum. Of course, on the other hand, I was also gaga over Robert Conrad on the Wild Wild West and Bob Crane from Hogan's Heroes.
I must say, however, that David McCallum has aged extremely well and become a lovely grandfatherly-type older gentleman.
Way to go, David!

The only thing he's good for is a good slap (which Gibbs is all too happy to provide). His constant speaking in hushed tones is as irritating as his attitude.

Thank you, that was a great read! I looked on my cable guide lookup and could not find Colditz, sadly. I'd love to see him in another program, I can never get enough of Mr. McCallum!

Oh, yeah, I was one of those girls who had a mad crush on him. Such a cutie! I have to say now that he apparently never lost "it", if you know what I mean. He looks pretty darned good for someone his age!
Yep, I tuned in to The Man From U.N.C.L.E. every week, never fail. I had to get my weekly "fix" of David McCallum. My world just didn't seem right if I didn't see him once a week. I was very sad when that show went off the air.
Thanks so much for this discussion! I'm so happy to see how gracefully this man has aged. If I get to be his age, I hope I look half as good.

Hey Elic! I can't thank you enough for sharing that wonderful
story! I so enjoyed the interview since I too have loved that
man since I first watched him on U.N.C.L.E.! I was one of those
screaming girls!lol He was definitely as adorable as one of
the Beatles anyday! And he is still just as adorable to me
today and I love NCIS and "Ducky" too! Thanks again for "sharing"!
As my bf says "sharing is caring"! Hugs, Opal
