there are a lot of books about vampires....there are also a lot of movies about vampires...
are they for real? if not, then why do most books would have similarities? the fact that authors would be researching first before writing a book, but still, sometimes, i woulds like to think that vampires are really for real..they may have lived long time ago...could probably be living up to these days...who knows?

There are some people who, even today, believe that they are vampires. There are vampire "clubs" & "societies" in several cities in the U.S., most notably New Orleans. When I visited New Orleans, I took a ghost/history tour, and the tour guide told us about these modern-day vampires. You can (apparently) read books on them, and find them on the internet.
Do these count as real vampires? I don't know about that, but these people think they are!

No, I didn't visit any of the clubs or other meeting places--from what the tour guide told us, they pretty much keep to themselves. Only a few get involved in activity with outsiders! But I am sure this is why Anne Rice chose this as the setting for her books, because there is such a vibrant belief in vampires even today in New Orleans. In fact, we even took a tour of the plantation where they filmed Interview With a Vampire--it is a few miles outside of New Orleans.

when i was young i wanted them to exist. haha but that was before till i realized they're just myths and supernatural beings that was borne out of human minds. there are human disorders though that are vampire-like, developing a craving for blood or having skin reactive to the sun.

as a supernatural creature, no.
as three species of bat, yes.
as mosquitos, considerably less cute than the bats, yes.
even less cute, the flea, the leech.
there are people that feel a need to consume blood to bring their energy levels up to a functional level. these people could be considered vampires, but not supernatural.s
there are people that drain the energy of others to supplement their own. they are also considered vampires, but again, not supernatural.
as they are in the stories, I don't beleive they exist.
I have been in love with the vampire mythos since I was about eight, but it's just that. a story.
if you think all the stories are similar, look closer. Dracula survived sunlight, but had no supernatural powers during daylight. Anne Rices vampires would die, or the more powerful ones wake the next night with a tan, and Meyers Sparkle. Stokers vampires are repelled by the cross, Lauryl K Hamiltons by any religious symbol weilded by a believer, whatever the religion, and Rices and Meyers, by no religious symbols at all. Carlisle even has a massive wooden crucifix in his house.
the vampire stories are varied. this is what makes them so exciting. to read a vampire story is to dip into a different world. a different world with each author.

There are no vampires in the sense of people killed and revived this form.
Or who has become vampires that were bitten by other vampires, etc..
It is anatomically and medically impossible.
There are people who in some crazy, extravagant or conception, drink blood and live a lifestyle like vampires.
There are people who are medically dependent on the blood, because their body does not produce enough blood chemicals needed for the body. (transfusion dependent)
The paleness and weakness that usually have assimilated with 'symptoms' vampirism.
There are people who can not stand sunlight (sun allergies) and have the same pale skin as vampires.
There are energy vampires. Conscious or not "ability" them. I felt my skin feeling energetic exhaustion in the company of certain people.
