are black cats superstitious about white people?

Almost every morning on my run I see this black cat. I am not superstitious at all, but I know people who are so much that they will turn around and literally travel miles out of their way to avoid crossing the path of a black cat. So this morning when I saw my black kitty cross the road at the usual spot I wondered...are they superstitious about white people? Maybe they think we are the bad omen! lol!!

No one can tell if it's true other than if cats can talk. I'm starting to wonder about superstitions though. In a degree, it seems that they all sound crazy. Or at least they make people act crazy.

They can indeed make people do some crazy things. Sometimes they can at least make a little sense but over all they are all just crazy to start with!

I'll remember to ask the black kitty in the morning if he's afraid to cross my path! lol!

Wahaha! That is so funny! ^.^
I was wondering now too, maybe they are, you can tell when they look at you with their eyes. Probably thinking whether they should go back or not. LoL!
Most of the time I experience that too when I'm driving. I do believe in most of those superstitious beliefs out there but when I happen to bump into one which I can't avoid, I just pray for gods mercy and guidance. My faith in him is much stronger than all of those beliefs anyway.
have a great day! ^.^

Yes, I would rather trust God than worry about silly superstitions.

eheh in reality i live ina country where to be superstitious is really spread but as regrds black cats i never had this kind of belief even if in some cases is really famous..i never believed it because in my opinion is simply stupid to think about it..so it would be grotesque be influenced by these kind of beliefs!!

I never could figure out how far around you had to go to miss its path! What if it just came from that direction!?! lol!
But I have a friend whose sister will drive miles and miles around if she sees a black cat cross the road in front of her!

I don't know what this conversation has to do with God, however, I do believe in God and I don't mind superstitions at all! They are silly to me.

Even i dont believe such superstitions.but people even in my country(india) say that when a black cat comes in your way when you are going on any work you have to turn back and go where you have started and wait for some time and start again ... Some people may make fun of that idea but still some even follow it.

Here it's more that you don't want to cross its path. So you must turn around and go a different way to avoid crossing where the black cat just passed in front of you. There's not like a time limit as you described, but just taking a different route altogether.
