President Barack Obama is doing the best he can; don't you think so?

Don't you agree that President Obama is doing the best he can.
He cannot make things change over night; but I believe he is trying.

I agree he is doing the best that he can do under the circumstances. He walked into a mess of a job that Bush created. He is now trying is hardest to clean it up. It took 8 years to make this diaster and I believe because of the extent of the mess it may take 10 years to clean it up completely. Unfortunately I don't think the President has even eight years because they will vote him out in two more years due to the stupidity of the Tea Party and the Republicans.

I think that brings up another few questions, the main one being: the best for what?
The best for his vision of America? Yes. I agree. He's doing the absolute best he can to create his vision of America which includes:
A whole heck of a lot more regulations (and taxes) for business, including outright government control of some instituions (like healthcare, for which the framework is in place).
Wealth redistribution to a means of this progressive idea of "social justice," where entitlements instead of avenues are provided to create a feigned equality at the expense of a majority.
A borderless society where America "owes" it to everyone to come in unannounced and settle in by creating separate pots instead of adding to the melting pot.
A society that depends on government to make choices instead of people.
Since he's been met with resistance at nearly every step of the way, he hasn't been able to realize his vision. But I agree 100% he's doing the best he can and that he can't make things change overnight.
But since that is not the America I want, I'm personally thrilled that things have been slow-going.
I think the most important thing we all should remember, whether we're a fan of the President, agree or disagree with him, is that his goal wasn't to simply get us out of crisis and make things better. His goal was--is--to fundamentally transform the way America operates.
Obviously, this is going to be an incredibly slow process - one that really cannot be anywhere near completed in a full two terms. But the framework can be put in place. And then others holding his worldview will have to fight tooth and nail going forward to make sure it continues.

I love your response and it was well written.
The fact that you have your own view yet can see the efforts of
the President. Takes a mighty big character to see both sides
of the coin in a non-prejudiced manner.
Thanks for your post.

It's too bad though that so many expect our President to solve every problem
there is "right now". Our President is making steps forward.. he just is not
running.. taking time helps avoid mistakes.
