Needing some answers

I am thinking about writing an article for our local paper comparing the Christmas celebrations here to ones that other towns have. Does your town, large or small, have a traditional Christmas celebration that is attended by a lot of townspeople and if so ,what is it? We have an annual tree lighting ceremony.

We have a tree lighting... ...a free skate with Santa... ....a Santa parade... ...hot chocolate with santa.... ...several churches have Christmas singing and such...

We have here an annual event themed 'caroling by candlelight' held a few nights before christmas. The carolers are from all the churches regardless of which christian denominations they belong. Each group of carolers will present their christmas songs holding candles in a special built stage in the middle of the city. Usually this event attracts many people.

This is the third or forth time that I have heard about caroling events. That is an awesome idea and I might try to get something like that planned for us.

We have an annual carol along at a bank downtown. We have local people lead and/or perform. I do not go but a lot of people do. I have gone in the past and would consider doing so in the future. I think there is usually cookies, cider and cocoa available.

I live in a little village so the only thing here are the Christmas services in the little church. However I am only about 5 miles way from the city of Lancaster, they had their lights switched on last week, attended by Santa and his reindeer.

We have an annual lighting ceremony , that gathers a lot of people . There are also concerts , dances and etc. Good luck writing the article I hope it will get published.
