Where, O where are the WMDs," sang the media, when they universally accused President G.W. Bush of "lying" to promote the "evil" war in Iraq. Well, when President Bush said that Iraq was trying to buy "yellowcake," he was going on the intelligence of his time...& it turns out...it was true all along! Go to the link I've posted for details, & learn the truth! Maggiepie "When I was young I was told that anyone could be President. I'm beginning to believe it." ~ Source unknown

Where is the link to the Wikileaks document? All I see is that they are claiming to have seen it and what they claim it says. Yet, they don't provide any images nor links proving that what they say is true. Why should I believe if they can't provide verification?

Well, Saddam was not a "settling" sort of person. I mean, we're talking about a man who would occasionally stab a dog just to vent his anger. A mam who put his living enemies through wood chippers. Nope. No-one can "reason" with the unreasonable! As for the people themselves, well, Muslim sects are not especially forgiving in nature, generally speaking. That much is fact written in blood throughout their history. You might like to study their history & holy text sometime. It's exceedingly interesting! hi maggiepie thats really interesting. although I really do not like the Ex president George W Bush I had alway that there were WMds'so now I am proved right. but i wonder what all this proves or changes anything or maybe my heads not thinking clearly as I am not feeling well tonight. I did think it was true much as I felt Bush was a namby pamby presdien he did tell the truth on that one.

It's funny, I do like him, though I disagreed with some of his policies. I never believed he was lying. Nice to know my instincts were on target. I do feel he wasn't "namby-pamby." That's because I would never've been strong enough to hold my tongue were I to be constantly skewered by the media, which were (& still are!) relentless & vicious toward him. People would have to drag me off kicking & cursing the whole scurvy lot! That...takes profound courage--his quiet gentility--in my opinion. He continues with that civility even now, while the current president blames him for everything--including things which were not his fault. It must be a nice feeling to have, at long last, been vindicated, though again, I'm sorry it took endangering our country to do it. I really dont understand why people use WMD ... haven't we got enough of deserts on earth? Is it easy to live in deserts? Now that the truth is out... mind is more at ease about the war.. While on it.... where does it all end? Cant we sit together at grassroot levels, and review everything.... talk to people and get them to move forward with one objective... survival of human race. Future is coming... whether we want it or not... somebody or animal from another planet versus us. Pity we could have used all that time to develop things and skills that would help us in long run. Instead we spend on researching and creating WMD. Politics and religion... ugh

Why? Because dictators are, by definition, insane. Saddam already lived in a desert. He didn't care that he killed so many people, & would have killed many more, given the opportunity.... He wanted power, & was willing to do anything to acquire it. You mistake dictators for being reasonable & normal. Reasonable, normal people can & do sit together & talk out problems. Dictators' thought patterns & life views just aren't like yours & mine. But I must ask you, why the reference to religion? Saddam wasn't really a practicing Muslim. He was just greedy & perverted. There's a very old saying, Vandana: "You may not be interested in war, but war is interested in you." In other words, it's never going to be a safe, easy world, because human nature never changes. The sooner one learns to accept that scary fact, & learns how to cope with it, the better at surviving he or she will be. Maggiepie "When I was young I was told that anyone could be President. Impossible for it not to! So many lies being exposed--such as the finding of even more evidence that "global warming" is & always has been a scam to grab trillions in money, & vast power! I may just have to forgive the traitor who leaked all this, even though he puts our troops & other friendly countries at grim risk! Let's just say I'm torn... As I told Jerzgirl, go directly to Wikileaks. It's just a website--so anyone can go there. Or, you could go here: http://www.factcheck.org/article222.html which is Factcheck.org, that oh, so far-right website.... The fact is that some people seemed to need the Wikileaks for "proof" that it happened as Bush said, but in reality, there have already been numerous proofs that Bush didn't lie, and that the WMDs DO exist. I'm not going to do anyone's homework for them, as I know that looking things up for oneself makes it stick in the mind better. This controversy has been out of the closet. I guess the American Government may have to at least further find evidence to press Bush on this and make him answer for such. There must be something to be done about this. Good Luck!
