I think Fedex making a right move to acquired Kinko some years back. Actually, it actually make money with it. Last night, I pass by Fedex store, and I just need to fax one document to the insurance company. The initial charge of sending a fax locally is $1.49, the next one will be $0.99. That is a lot of money by simply sending a fax. If I knew better, I would rather sent it at work. Maybe the charge is higher if I want send it internationally.

Yep, faxing is a service, so they will charge for it. I know, they make a killing off of it, right? That price is actually not bad compared to what it was years ago. Where I worked, we charged for sending faxes too . . . but my boss charged a ridiculous price (I can't remember, but it was much higher than what you were charged). To make an international fax, there was a way to charge the call part to the customer's home number - that way he wouldn't have to pay for that fee later on. But back then, not everyone had a fax machine. These days, people can "fax" anywhere - even your own printer if you're hooked up - so paying to send a fax will seem crazy.
