Was wondering what makes our hair color into grey. I noticed that when i was younger in my high school days to be exact i already have white hair. but when i go to the city it returns to black, but when i go back again to the province hair again becomes grey. I wonder what is the thing that affects hair to be grey. Maybe somebody from here knows a thing about that.

Hi Chavez
Not sure what exactly causes grey hair but like some of the other members who commented on your post I have also heard that stress can be a factor in getting gray hairs I have some myself but I don't mind them I earned every strand and refuse to color my hair until it gets to be gray around the temples then I may consider it

I have heard that stress is a factor that causes gray hair. If that was the case, I would be solid gray. I have very feww gray hairs though and I am well of age to start getting them. I also heard it has to do with the reduction of pigment. It also has to do with the reduction of melanin which causes your hair to become gray and eventually white in most cases.

Hi! I think, aside from old age, can also be caused by stress. I have observed that when I am under stress, I tend to have a few gray hairs. I also read of a study that stress can produce free radicals which may affect the follicles of our hair, thus, affecting the color of our hair.
Just sharing!
