For my class, we all had to interpret a cartoon. It was just one image with only a line of caption, and many of the students gave their own interpretation. This link shows the cartoon: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Rs53-MPsJaI/STjUyqLO8KI/AAAAAAAAKnU/4D6kwGtDjUo/s400/gary-larson-1984-far-side-anthropologists.jpg How do you interpret it?

Haha! Anthropologists are people who study other cultures. So I think that the locals are hiding all their "modern" belongings, such as tvs, etc. to fool the anthropologists.

Yes, it was for my anthropology class. And I agree with you... in the end the anthropologists were fooled!

LoL. It's funny. Trying to fool the anthropologists, eh? Hahahah! Just because they look primitive doesn't mean they really are primitives! :D

I interpret it that while the homeowner is so busy bodied watching the neighbors that she is not even aware of what is going on in her own home, such as being robbed. Pretty much as too busy minding other people's business and not minding her own. LOL

Interesting! I was amazed in class how so many people had different interpretations.
