and the american idol has again made its contestants sing beatles songs. i thought after being sung in previous seasons, there will be more selections for this season's contestants. guess the beatles are really influences that the AI competitors need to familiarize themselves with in order to be the next american idol. i sometimes get to a point where i have to play almost every song of the beatles after hearing just one of theirs. they're really very addictive and to think that many generations have passed, their music remains on top of a lot of great compositions coming from music professionals around the world. guess hardwork, passion, and perseverance can't win over hardwork, passion, perseverance, and genius. can't really see any band that gets to stay within their level of music.
just hope x-factor (as i've heard from some rumors) doesn't get to replace american idol next year. that would be very disappointing for millions. still, the beatles rules.. guess i'm gonna play an hour or two of the beatles for the weeks to come. =)
if you're not a beatles fan, or never really heard of the band, which i'm sure you did, i suggest you do hear from their song called "eleanor rigby". one of their greatest, in my opinion, that is. long live the beatles. =)

I know! I love The Beatles too
I've been a fan since I was a kid. My dad (who's in a band) is a major fan of them as well. He always plays The Beatles everyday and I've grown to love their music because of him. They also remind me of my dad who I love very much
My favorite album is the Abbey Road. I also like Revolution, The Ballad of Yoko and John, Black Bird, Norweigan Wood, Something, etc etc!! And I agree with you, The Beatles will never fade. Their songs and legacy will never die! So far no other artist or band has ever replaced The Beatles as the number one of ALL TIME!

I agree. Music nowadays is just full of sensationalism and the artists don't really have true talent.
Try searching The Ballad of Yoko and John in YouTube! Perhaps you're already familiar with the tune but not with the title. I myself was long familiar with its tune but didn't till later that that was its title

it's funny because some may say that they don't know the beatles, but when they suddenly hear a popular song from the band, they're quite familiar with the parts of the song. just proves how great the songs of the beatles are, and they're too many to mention..
never reallyheard of the ballad of yoko and john, but everything else are amazing. there may be no band that could match the beatles' genius, but i hope one would come out of their shell and make history so our music won't be full of songs from bieber, lady gag, and other pop artists. quite sad, really..

it's really surprising to know some don't really know even one of the beatles' songs. some contestants, particularly the one who sang "i don't want to miss a thing" to steven tyler, didn't actually know or have heard of a single song from the greatest band in the world. but somehow, she managed to sing with her group good and brought quite a remarkable performance along with scottie (the very low voiced guy) and a black lady..

I really enjoyed it when American Idols competitors sung their own version of the Beatles songs. Their songs is already great but the new revise songs is a lot better. I agree with you. Beatles songs never fails to amaze me as well. The tune and the lyrics are very beautiful and will never fade.

The beatles will always live. i have always heard their songs while i was growing up, and their songs will forever be in my heart. their lyrics have touched the world, they are really incredible. i know only a few do not appreciate the beatles. but so far, i haven't met one hater.
