It was terrible!
I went home yesterday. My room was full of water. It was raining very heavy. And because flood-tide, my room was flooded out.
It's lucky because I don't put any things on the floor. So, nothing got wet. But I must work hard to clean my room because it's was night!
Have you had this experience?

Why would you put this topic on under this discussion? It not about houses or flooding! it is about the TV show "House"! I hate when people do this!

I agree with you. I hate finding misplaced discussions. Houses flooding might have been better to post under Life than in here.

OMG I'm so sorry for what happened. So is everything Ok now?? I hope nothing got damaged because of that. Anyway NO nothing as such has happened to me. But one when I was a kid, maybe elementary school we had this heavy rainfall and there was water everywhere in school and it was about knee level I guess. I can't remember propersly but can still get a few pictures of those days.

We used to have that problem in the house I grew up in. the water would flood my bedroom and make the carpet wet. Glad none of your things got wet.

I was lucky! If my bedroom and carpet was flooded, I must stay up all night!

Fortunately I do not live in a flood zone. Don't know how I'd manage with water in my place. My area of the country was within the same storm system that hit HWG last night. There were flash flood warnings out after the wind, lightening and hail & rain had passed. Lots of cleanup going on with all the downed trees and power lines. They'll be cleaning up for weeks.

I experienced it once when I was at University. I was new at the boarding house, and one really stormy night, I arrived at my room and it was flooded. The rain had seeped throught my door! I young then, so I was crying when I was cleaning the room. I was used to having my parents, my dad especially, keeping and fixing things for me, and that was the first time I realized that I was on my own now. Very silly, yes, but I couldn't help crying then.

Wow we here in Illinois had a huge rain storm here last night. The gusty winds were at 77 mph and the rain and hail were heavy and strong. Our garbage bins were all over the place and we had a few trees that were fallen over.
We did not get any water in our apartment but did hear on the news where some closer to the Desplaines river did. Hope you get everything back to normal soon.

I hope that people are safe there. There is only one heavy rain, my room was flooded. I know that it's difficult for ones if there was a huge rain storm in your local.

Hi. tkonlinevn. I am very sorry that this has happened to you. We have never had a flood-tide that I know about here where I live at. The only time that my room gets wet, is if I accidentally left the window opened while I was gone or asleep. I am glad that nothing got wet on your floor. If it did, this would have been horrible!

Talking about the flood, I experienced something worse than what you experienced. I have been inundated while still in college. It was raining very heavily and I was in the room. I was sleeping on the floor carpet
I did not realize, the water go into my room and I woke up feeling wet. The funny thing is, my room on the second floor. Can you imagine how high the flood at the time? No, the water was coming from the sewer water on the second floor are blocked by garbage. Finally we rollicking rubbish and clean up our room. Napping is distracted because of flooding on the second floor.
