While chatting to a cat breeder as well as a vet the other day, i asked what food they would both recommend for all ages of cats, as well as all breeds and sizes.I am shocked to say the least and i will say that i am going to keep them on this food that they have said is great, as they all love it.It is called Purina one,It is dried food.Great stuff and the price is quite good as well and the best thing is that it is always at a special price in the shops that my husband go to.Also i can buy in bulk online.I would say they may have eaten alot more than they should have, but they are contented and all sound asleep.

A few years ago I switched from Science Diet to Purina One, because with the increase in my cat numbers, I could no longer afford to get the Science Diet.
Well... when all the problems with pet food and the Chinese poisoning of it came out, I was happy to see that Purina One was NEVER on the list!
I could NOT have afforded to have 20+ sick cats!
so, my cats are all happy on their Purina One Hairball cat food! Well, except the sick ones, they get wet food

I finally went to making most of what my cats eat myself. It is funny, the old one now acts like a kitten again. He still drools and is missing some teeth, but his skin improved and eyes and coat. Tiger and Creamery have to have soft food because of their dental conditions.

They all seem happy tonight, lol, as they are all sound asleep and that never happens all at the same time here. The best thing was the vets even say that it is really good for them.I never did hear about any foods that were poisioned.I had a cat that had to have its teeth removed and it also use to eat hard food, but only after a year of having them removed, it did dribble, but no pain was the main thing.

Both Taj and Pong were eating exclusively dry food in 3 months. Solo also eats dry food, but he likes his breakfast of wet too. That's fine, he used to put away a can in the morning and almost a can at night, but now he only eats about a quarter to a half a can in the morning. Besides, Star really loves her Solo, she gets so excited when she sees him come in!

You may actually see them eat less as they get used to it, because the higher nutrition satisfies them more.

I use to give mine that Iams and that was ok for some of them, but there was two cats that did not like it much. One of my cats ate so much Iams that it could hardly move, i took it to the vets and he asked if i measured the amount, i said no, as it was still eating it and i did not want it to be hungry, a few months later he had diabetes.I think cats that have their teeth removed get tough gums like we do when we have ours removed, mine still hard dried food as that is what was the choice of the cat.

I hope that you've mixed the two together because that way their stomachs get used to the change slowly. Otherwise, it'll upset their stomachs. Not everybody knows this so don't feel bad if you didn't too. As for myself, I buy 9-lives because it was recommended to me many many years ago when one of my cats urinary tract was infected. Since then, I've never had any problems with any of my cats. However, 9-lives doesn't show the ash content, my vet told me it was good. Now the can food does show the ash content and as long as it's 3.5 or lower, it's ok for your cat to eat.

Purina brand has been around for many years. Has to be a reason for that. My grandmother used to get it for our animals. Dogs and cats both. Cat breeders and vets should know what is best for animals. Why were you shocked? That's cute. They are satisfied and sleeping. They are cute aren't they?

It is great that you have found a good cat food that has all your cats eating it, also that there are other people that say that it is a really good food content for your cats. They must enjoy it as well as that it fills them up, other wise they would be asking for food still if they felt that they were still hungry or not full.

Hi jugs, glad to konw that you have come across the great food for your cats. From the description I learn that your loving cats love the new food. It's a pleasure to see them enjoy eating the new food. I belive they love the new savor and feel content. Yeah, it's easy for them to fall asleep after their stomach is filled fully
I hope your pets would grow more healthier and robust taking this nutritious and delicious cat food. It's convenient to feed the pets with such dried food which you can get with reasonable price

Purina One is a very good range of cat food. We have a highly respected TV vet here in Australia who has put his name to this product as one of the better ones. I used to give my cats Purina until I changed their food to Advance which is a similar line of premium cat food. I give my cats good premium biscuits and a few times a week they get tuna (the kind for humans) with spring water which they love. My kitties are very healthy and happy just like yours!

I bought that brand for my cats. They wouldn't eat it and when they did, they threw up. I ended up giving away what was left of it. It was kind of expensive and I didn't want it to go to waste. I am glad your cats like it. They probably won't have the problems with it that mine did. They reacted like that to Meow Mix also.
