What is the definition of arrogant ?

I would like to describe arrogant as a character trait, behaviour or manner in which an individual, or group look down on the opinion or personality of others.An arrogant man or woman feel too proud of himself or herself. He or she sees others as irrelevant.

Someone who thinks they are a lot better than everyone else, even when they're not. Always assumes they're right and doesn't listen to anyone elses opinions.

Somebody who thinks that they are better than I am...

Someone is arrogant if they're very proud or have an inflated sense of their own worth. The opposite of humble and modest. The weird thing is that some people appear to have an arrogant attitude but turn out to be very generous and nice. Sometimes it's in the tone of voice or a particular accent that we associate with arrogant people - sort of an audio stereotyping.

Being arrogant is the ability and talent to show off your own ignorance to another. Often arrogance is so unknown to you that you do not even realize that you possess it. Arrogance is not a quality you want to have complimented your way.
