Doesn't Canada have enough hockey teams already? I am not a major sports person at all. I do not follow any of them. Well maybe baseball, just the Mets and the Yankees. And I do not really watch many games. So hockey I no nothing about except that Canada is a Hockey country. Am I right? Oh well.

Don't tell me you like the Yankees over my Mets? Lol! The Nhl has 30 teams and only 6 are from Canada. That isn't enough. They started this sport, they Should have more. Atlanta is a great town for baseball and Basketball and Football , in that order I believe , but Hockey? Not so much.So this move is Great news for True Hockey fans up in Canada!

I personally don't like teams leaving their markets. I think it is sad for the die-hard fans in their areas.
But I do understand the thrashers' situation. I heard that Atlanta is college sports-town. And after that the Falcons take precedence. Followed by the resurging Hawks. So, I could understand that the hockey team is at the bottom of the radar. And I guess for the owners, it is time to realize this and move on.
On the other hand, I'm glad that the franchise is moving to a seemingly viable market. Be it in Canada or the US.

Thrashers? What city and state were they? And yes, Canada can always use another hockey team.
