Unusual Vegetables

I was wondering, have you ever gone out to your garden to pick fresh vegetables to find something unusual? A few years ago we had a tomato with horns. I gave it to my father in law as everyone said it reminded them of him, lol. They suggested I draw his face on it but I can't draw faces. Even he found it hilarious. His wife hated to cut it and use it.
Anyhow, last night I went out to pick the squash, yellow crook neck. I thought there were two laying atop one another. No, they were conjoined twins. Two complete squash joined together at the side.
So, what have you found in your garden?

I've had a couple 'weirdities' from my garden over the years. (Unfortunately, that was back before digital cameras, and I only had a Polaroid :-) One was a tomato that looked like ex-president Richard Nixon's face in profile; the funny 'nose' and distinctive cheeks. I've had a few 'siamese twin' vegetables too. My favorite one was the year I grew birdhouse gourds, and the necks were twisted together and growing. I love finding stuff like that in the garden. Usually we let it set on a tray so everybody gets a good laugh.

I love gourds. We tried growing some last year to make into bird houses but they didn't come up. Nixon huh, it is interesting the way some of the vegetables do that. We won't say what my husband says the squash looks like, lol. Don't wanna get into any trouble here.
