What the Doctor Prescribes or Natural Remedies?

This is a controversial topic but here it goes... I have heard many different thoughts on this topic. Some people say that what the doctor prescribes only helps the symptom not the actual problem, and some people say they will only take what the doctor says to take. Do you think the doctor knows best? I have heard many different opinions on this so I'm curious what your opinion is! =) Would you rather take what the doctor says to take? Or would you rather look up alternatives and home remedies?

Personally for me, I think it depends on the situation and what your Health issues are as to what works Best for you, and what it is for. There are some Good remedies out there that are definately cheaper than seeing your Doctor, but what works for one might not always work for you, vice versa and sometimes it might not help you like it did someone else as well. I have tried many things, and done things that have worked Herbal wise and never shared them with a Doctor as most of them will only undercut something natural for sure. But if there is something that helps you in herbal medications for things like Migraines, or a Cold, etc. these could be helping you save money, but make sure to do a lot of research for the other issues as well.

Thanks for your response! Yeah, my husband made the mistake once of telling a doctor that he was taking colloidial silver for things and the doctor got really mad. So, we won't do that one again...=)

I use both. Medicine and complementary therapies work together, but make sure your traditional doctor knows what complementary therapies you use and, of course, be logical. If it's dangerous, or seems that way don't do it. buyer be ware!
