Ours is a 3-people household. We have 3 aircons, 4 computers, 1 washing machine, 1 microwave over, a toaster; and we cook with an electric stove. We have many other electric consumption like charging of our phones, watching TV, internet, etc., etc.
With all these, our electric bill averages to 75-80 US dollar-equivalent every month. How about in your household? How much do you consume on a monthly basis?

Hi sis!
Mine the electric bill is around 20-30 US dollar every month. Just one computer-I am the only one who use computer and internet at home, TVs, hmm...the electric oven and other electrical equipment...I just watch TV at night and we try to save the energy as much as we could. For us that value is already too much~(^^)

I really don't know CT!hahahaha! But I assume that solar panels would be beneficial for the users in the long run..since electric consumption would be lessened.

If you're using just 1 PC at home, with the same appliances of a regular household, that may not be cheap, you're right.hihihi Do you use solar energy at home? That should help, right?1 person likes this

My bill is roughly $AU50-60 a month & that is with running a computer, tv, 3 fish tanks, chest freezer, fidge, vacuum & washing machine on a daily basis. My bill was higher when I had my old washing machine as it was a dinosaur but now I have a new one which keeps my bill lower.

Yep, my clothes are cleaner when I use my new washing machine
Technically, I have 5 fish tanks but only 3 need a filter.

You have 3 fish tanks? That's something else!

We have a 3-person household as well. We live in an apartment: we have a washing machine, a dishwasher, etc. Our electricity bill is about $35US per month.

Ours is a 4-people + 1 baby household. Got 1 aircon, 2 computers, 1 washing machine, 2TVs and other usual household appliances. Our average monthly bill is around $100. But since it's getting cooler now, I hope our bill will lessen a bit.

That's good enough, I think. Yeap, it's beginning to rain here as well in my place. So we're expecting our bills to go down slowly, too.

Ours differs and fluctuates a lot here. There are months where it can average $80 - $90 dollars a month, but during the summer it can be up to $150. Depending if we use the air-conditioning a lot or not. We can cut back on some days but with the weather being so humid here it is so necessary to use sometimes.

Hello to you HWG!
Our bill rises during the summer days as well. It's good that it's been cooler these past few weeks so our electric consumption also drops,hihihi...
We don't have solar panels like in the states or other parts of the world. I suppose it would really be better to have those installed in the houses and buildings here in Thailand since it's usually sunny, anyway.

My last electric bill was $97 US dollars for a one bedroom apartment. I have two air conditioners that run constantly during the hot summer months here in Florida. I also have two televisions, a computer, electric hot water, electric stove and several cell phone chargers. My usual electric bill is around $70 dollars and even a little lower during winter months because a rarely need to run the heater.

Oh wow! You must consume a lot of energy woody. That's a bit costly for a 1-BR apartment.
How many are there in your household?

Hi beingwell! In our household, we are 6 in thefFamily and our electric bill changes from time to time.
3 of us are working (we leave the house morning and come back at night, we don't use electricity that much), 2 students, and 1 stays at home. So if it is school vacation, our consumption would range around 75-80 in US dollars as the 2 students is home all day, computer, watching tv, whatever they like, they consume more electricity compared to when they go to school. If it is school season, 5 of us will leave the house and just 1 person will be left at home all afternoon, so it goes down to 50-60 in US Dollars. Lots of savings. Since I am the one paying our Electric Bill, I love the months when there is school, I pay less and save more.

Hahaha! That explains a lot my! You have a very active household.hihihi...
Our bill rises every time we have visitors from out of town. And we usually have visitors every 2 months.
It's fine though, we love the company. And our visitors are often close friends and relatives only.

It is just me and during the winter months, my bill usually runs $US18-22, but now that it is summer, I am using my air connditioner more this summer than during previous summers, which sucks up a lot of energy. However, I do unplug it when it is not iin use. I just received my bill in the mail. I was a little nervous because I thought it was going to be super high, but to my surprise, it was only $US33. YAY! I do not use my computer at home very often, so I have the powerstrip turned off. I have a tv, dvd player, toaster, microwave, and refrigerator. I have my tv and dvd player in a powerstrip and just turn that off when I leave for the day. When my toaster and microwave are not in use, they are unplugged. I like to believe that when I unplug my appliances, I am saving energy and money.

Yes, you are saving energy when you unplug your appliances. That's coz we do too.hehehe, So that's what we think as well.hihihi...
$33. That's not bad. It's like 50% increase in your consumption. But hey, it's still cheap! Summer is nearly over anyway so you'll be enjoy a lower electric bill in the coming months.

Hi Beingwell, our bill is comprised of gas usage for cooking, water and electricity, and it adds up to nearly a hundred and fifty dollars every month.
That is a lot of money since we used air con less than once a week per room.
I think if the weather is very hot and humid, and we start to use the airconditioner more, the bill can reach up to two hundred dollars.
We have two laptops at home, three split units air cons that we seldom use, and three fans at home.
The only item that we use everyday is the TV.
We do not even use the washing machine as much, just once every three days or so.

Hi scheng! You live in a big household. I think $150-$200 for all your utilities is a fair amount. At home in the Philippines, I think we were paying just as much, especially during vacation time were all of us are at home; watching TV all day long.
Not to mention the electric guitar and radio running every night since my brother likes for everyone to hear his "noise".hahahah!!

Hi cupcakes! Summer came. That's the explanation I have with the rise of our electric bills. Boy! Was it hot and humid here a few months ago! It's good that now it's starting to rain in Thailand. At least, the land is cooling off well at night time.

Well just around $50-60. 1 pc, 1 laptop, a printer, waching machine, 2 tv's with dvd, electric stove with oven, rice cooker a fridge an aircon, etc.. Not much but I think our electric rate varies depending in what country you are. It would even be cheaper if a country utilizes nuclear energy for electricity but kind of dangerous too.

Hi Jacruz! We can opt to have solar energy instead. It'll even help conserve the planet, wouldn't you think so?
Anyway, yes I also believe that our electric bills depend on the countries where we're at. If I had been living in the Philippines with the same electric consumption that we're using, I may have to pay more than twice. That's for sure! Everything's expensive in my country. I don't know why. It's still a mystery to me....
