Javier Zanetti has just celebrated the 38th year. At the older age as a footballer, Zanetti admitted had ever near moved to Real Madrid or Barcelona.
Zanetti who come from Banfield, Argentina 16 years ago, is the first purchase when Massimo Moratti become Inter president . After that until now all know if Zanetti is the captain and club legend and all that gave to the club.
That includes loyalty to remain with Inter until now, despite the acknowledged Javier Zanetti if he had considered leaving the Giuseppe Meazza, because there is an interesting offer from Barca and Madrid.
With the ability as right-back or left, w, Zanetti is one of the world's top defender. Naturally, if Zanetti is linked by many European giants at that time plus Nerazzuri performance is not like now.
"I'm very close to Barcelona and Real Madrid in the past," Zanetti on the official club website.
"Even so I'm happy with my decision to stay at Inter because I feel, sooner or later, the moment we arrived and the good it will happen," he continued.
Zanetti has been defended Inter in all competitions 749 times and scored 24 goals. He finished the Inter players with the most caps record, passing two other legends, and Gianchinto Facchetti and Giuseppe Bergomi.
"I was very young when it came here, 22 years old and I'm very proud to play with Bergomi," he said.
"I also had the opportunity to find out Facchetti and still remember his advice to this day," said Zanetti.
Iam romanisti , but admit he is one of the loyal player like Our captain, Totti...
what do you think about Zanetti??

Arguably one of the best RB in the modern football, Zanetti has never shown any signs of slowing down even at 38 years young. Surely he had a few bad games, but his consistency, positive attitude, loyalty, and leadership during his 16 years in Inter are more than enough to prove that he is a true gentleman and living legend. Unlike other world-class South American wingback which are more famous for their attacking style, Zanetti instead play with more balance way of play, which makes him great in initiating attack and tough in defense (especially marking player). He is rarely caught out of position, and hardly to see any opponent's attackers to fool him [never saw any players at this YOUNG that made Lionel Messi frustrated for 180 minutes :)]. As a die hard Inter fans, I wish to see him adding one more star to Inter's jersey before his retirement.
Great respect for you to post this, since you're a Romanisti. Best of luck for Roma this season, and yes Totti is definitely one of my favorite Italian players. Salam olahraga dari New Zealand, dan semoga Indonesia juga bisa menghasilkan pemain2 sekelas Zanetti dan Totti.

lets correct your knowledge about Serie A...
in 1993-2000,the king is Juventus and Milan, while roma can win the Serie A trophy in 2001 after landing Gabriel Batistuta, Samuel and Emerson..
in 1997/1998, who is the inter player?? maybe Alvaro Recoba, Ronaldo,Laurent Blanc and so on..what is your favourite player of inter in that season (1997/1998)??

Let's just say i have blood in black & blue :) In fact I almost never had any favorite teams in other colors, especially red. All my fave teams (Inter, Spurs, PSPS, Arema) are all have black or blue elements either in their home or away jersey. The only exception is for our beloved Timnas indonesia. Back in 97/98 season, I watched my first football match in RCTI and it was indeed Inter match against Bologna. And that was the beginning of my everlasting love to Nerazzurri. I still remember how I always support Inter even though they were in their dark ages. Seing other teams like Lazio, Roma, and Juventus won their Serie-A trophies at that time was quite devastating for me, but you know a real fans should always give unconditional love and support to their beloved ones. And finally all the long waits were paid off when seing Inter lifted their trophy again under Mancini, and the rest is history. :)

Thank you for the compliment ...
I admire Zanetti player even though he's not my favorite club
He is one of the best wing defender. He was smart to attack and strong to defend
He's really loyal to his club, and it is the same as our captain, Francesco Totti.
He also deserves to be an example for his team, and also for new player at Inter Milan
I think he is very worthy of being a legend at Inter in the 1990s
Unfortunately his brilliance has not been able to bring Argentina to win the world cup, even copa Americ which is hold recently in their own country.
It is unfortunate, but football is a team sport and not a personal sports

thanks again for our captain
with the 33 years old, he could have been a record-breaking fourth highest scorer in the league to Italy
AS ROMA new coach Luis Enrique, also considered that Totti is still very worth playing for the starting eleven of AS ROMA
there is no reason to make The captain sit on bench even though Totti was already more than 30 years old
Totti is still badly needed by AS ROMA
and all players yearn to play with The Captain
Luis Enrique will also support the decision and will continue to play the captain throughout the captain continued to be fit to play for 90 minutes

Yes, he was really one of the longest serving players at a club. I think, players like Zanetti, Maldini, Raul etc. are outstanding exponents of loyalty to club. I think the crowning glory for Javier Zanetti was Champions League win 2 years back with Mourinho!!
Cheers!

No, Raul indeed was a very loyal player. Despite having a life long contract with Real, he decided to quit Real when he thought he was not contributing enough and would be impediment in their long term plans. So I actually think that he was very graceful in his exit as well!!
Cheers!

I don't like Inter, but I admire players like Zanetti or Totti, who, despite playing with the thought of leaving to a better club, remained at the club where they have become legendary. These is anything else than Manuel Neuer did, as he has betrayed Schalke to come to Bayern, as he felt that he is better than the club he has promised so many times not to leave, no matter what. This is why I don't like Neuer anymore, he is a traitor who wears the shirt of my beloved Bayern. And you know the saying: who betrays once, will eventually betray again.
So all my respect to players like Zanetti, Totti, del Piero or Maldini.

Like I said in many other responses, I don't like teams which have owners. Another reason is that I don't really like Italian football and the third is that my brother is an Inter fan and so we have something to tease each other.
