Three finishes, three cards: A Christmas card, a get well card, and a good luck card. The latter, I cut around the stitching and glued it to the card. The get well card, I send out to all the myLotters with health problems.

Is that an "editorial comment" or are you trying to say you're ill?

Very pretty - I did a card once for a friend, when I went to see her, she had pinned the cross stitching to her wall over her desk so she could look at it every day.

Isn't it gratifying to know that they really appreciate the effort by doing something like that?

These are very nice. I have not been able to personally do counted cross stitch in yrs. due to the carpal tunnel in my hands and wrists. I now do a lot of crocheting but even then there are times this can really bother me. But glad to see you are doing something that is Fun and creative. Helps make things go a little better when you are just feeling bored.

Thanks. Even when I had a go-round with my carpal tunnel and wore a brace, I still did some cross-stitching.

I'm not sure that I have the patience to do it myself. But I do appreciate your work. The are beautiful and how thoughtful of you to send them to people here. There are so many things that I ought to know about and never get round to trying. Cross stitch being one of them.

If you get the hang of it, it can become quite addictive.

They're fabulous. I'd be thrilled to receive a card like these. So personal that you know the sender cares. So much work goes into each. How long do they take you?

The get well card I just worked on in fits and starts while waiting for appointments. The other two I worked on straight-out for about two days each (not all day, of course).

How lovely! I am not so talented I’m afraid! It is very handy to be able to create such pretty cards especially during the holidays. They will mean so much more being personally made for family and friends. An idea would be to start a business selling these. I think you would do well.

Very well done Barb! I have sold quite a few on Ebay myself. if you go to the main cross stitch where all the discussions are the lavender picture of a cross stitch is mine. I added a magnet in the envelope with mine. That way whoever got the cross stitch card could cut the card away leaving the card behind the cross stitch and attach a magnet to become a fridge or work magnet. My favorite is the heart one you did! Very good work.
