Days ago, the clock has been used to display the time, has been used as jewelry. I was very happy to be given a very beautiful clock mounted sapphire stone. Those of you I also wear the watch.
Now, with the advent of cell phones, watches almost "disappear". The phone has replaced its position.
However, I used to see the time clock, and cell phone is just used for calling and hearing.
How about you? Do you wear a watch?

Yes dear I still do wear watch and will not ever stop wearing watch. I have collections of watches because I wear them not only to know the time but to keep up with the fashion. I wear watch to match my clothing, my mood and the occasion as well. Like when jogging or playing tennis, I'd wear sport watch and when going to formal occasion I'd wear gold watch. When going to informal parties, I'd wear watches with colored leather bracelets that match the color of my clothes. I think makes one look trendy and fashionable so I think watch will always be a part of me.

Actually, for me too, mobile phones have replaced watches. I don't usually wear watches. But I do have this absolutely favourite watch of mine, that my father gifted me and I wear it on special ocassions. It's a men's watch and I absolutely adore it though I am a girl.

I think recently it changed again.
Swatch for example made a new collection. They are colourful and thing.
This summer I saw several young people wearing them.
I asked one. And they told me
They look styleish
They are cheap
They are light to wear
And its still more comfortable then the phone.

I wear a watch at all times. I have a waterproof watch, so I don't ever have to take it off. I would be lost without it! The few times I was without it due to needing a new battery or whatever I missed it! I only use my phone for calls, and even then not very often. I would hate it if they quit making watches. I don't think they will though, because it can be considered an accessory and some people wear them more for the style than to tell time.

Actually, I don't like watches because sometimes they give me a rash on my wrist, probably from sweat and rubbing and such, I've worn sports watches on and off growing up, but nothing fancy. Right now I just use my BlackBerry to check the time, the print is nice and big, and has light numbers against a dark background, so it's easy for me to see.

Now you are talking about my generation and the trends we've been seeing. The future of watch making companies is all but doomed. I still have a necklace watch.
There are careers where the use of a watch is necessary: scuba diving, ranching, remote military operations, many survey crews, ocean voyagers, scientists on expedition, etc.
The rest of us are attached to our cell phones, except for many in the generation before me.
I have a friend who likes to say: "I have a cell phone, email and a facebook page." The problem is she never goes into any of this! This frustrates me because I've then wasted my time!

I do own several nice watches but it has been several years since I have worn a watch. I am one of those that uses my cellphone for the time, at all times. I usually put my cellphone in the charger every night so it is always charged and available for me.
It is odd that I no longer use my watches because it use to be that I felt like something was missing on my wrist when I would forget to wear them.

I wear a watch everyday. I can't leave the house without it. I feel lost. I really need to know the time. Not sure why but I've always been that way. My husband on the other hand could real care less what time it is. It absolutely drives me crazy. He doesn't care if he late for appointment or work even. When we first got together, he was suppose to be to work by 9am. However, he didn't even get out of bed until 9am. No joke. I always told him he was going to get fired. But he never did. Amazing. It doesn't even phase him. Best Wishes!

I think that nowadays, watches are slowly becoming simply a style factor. Most people really do just stick with using their cellphones as a time management system. After all, you are able to see everything on your phone, along with possibly a calendar with important times and meetings you can't forget.
I, personally, still enjoy using watches. I think they really look nice, and are sometimes just easier to access than a phone. It would be easier to just look at your watch than to dig in your bag for your cellphone.
