Liverpool gave a real early blow to Arsenal's season by winning 2-0 at the Emirates stadium. The first goal was a bit unlucky for Arsenal as a clearance bounced of the chest of Ramsey into the goal. But then Suarez added a late goal to round of the scoring. Arsenal looked completely clueless in the final third of the park and if things do not change fast, they are going to pay heavily for their inability to score goals in big matches!!
Cheers!

I must confess I could have seen the end of this game but like a ditz I forgot! It sounds like either Liverpool is going to be good this season or Arsenal is going to be bad or Both! The drama begins. my ex likes both teams so I guess he is.... Numb?

I actually think it will be both. Kenny Dalglish seems to have revived the old Liverpool spirit of "You Never Walk Alone". The looks much more positive and is more of a threat in the final third. Arsenal on the other hand has had a mass exodus of players this season. So this is going to be another long season of rebuilding for them. I seriously think they will miss out on the top four position this time around!!
Cheers!

I would have picked up Shay Given when he was available for the goalkeeper's position. I think Arsenal need a good goalkeeper like Given. Then I would like to have taken a good out and out striker like Suarez. Sadly no name currently pops to my mind for this position.
Cheers!

ram_cv,
I am not surprise that Arsenal lost even on home ground, but just pity that it cost them an own goal in the first half.
Considering the new season and changes on the line up, I believe Arsenal played quite well and their extravagance on their sitters was the consequence of their match.
Anyway, it will be interesting to watch how Wegner will weave his team this season.

It was really a dissappointing match for me as an Arsenal fans. all the fans argue about bringing defender. But Arsene keep buying attacking players. Now we see why he do that. The attacking unit arsenal had now just cannot kill of the opponent like they use today.
Last time we can always expect a goal coming. It not the matter will Arsenal score but it just the matter of when will they score. Now we hope the team didn't concede and hoping Robin Van Persie come with a magic and winning by 1-0.
It just not the Arsene Arsenal way. I hope things will look brighter fast. Arsenal had two crucial match in a row in the shape of Udinese and Machester United.

I think we had the goalkeeping department covered. Sczhenny is a real deal as far as I concern. His only mistake was during the Carling Cup final with Koscielny unfortunately. Other than that, he is as good as any goalkeeper in the premier league. As cover, Fabianski and Mannone are good. As long as Almunia not playing it should be okay and I prefer if Lehmann or even David Seaman play ahead of Almunia.
Defensively, we need another though defender who are not prone to injuries. Koscielny and Vermaelen is good. Djourou is okay. Squillaci is a big worry.
