Seeking information about problems with browsers

I know that many mylotters are tech savvy. I have a question about browsers and sometimes problems with them. I have a mac book. Safari is the browser that comes with macs and the one that is most easy to use. But safari has quirks. And I sometimes have to use firefox or google chrome to view videos or access other pages. For instance, today I was watching Swagbucks TV using safari. I was not able to get credit for the videos that i viewed. I switched to firefox and no problem. With fusion cash, I often can not get credited for watching videos on safari but I can using firefox sometimes. Other times, I can not get credit using both safari or firefox and have to use google chrome. And I have no problem with google chrome. Sometimes, I can not load or page or click on a link using safari but I can switch to firefox and am able to access the pages that I could not using safari. Can anyone explain to me why I am having these sometimes problems with browsers. I know that I am not the only one experiencing what I call browser quirks.

I would love Safari except the spell check doesn't seem to work on it and I wonder if I'm the only one. I seems to me it used to spell check, but it doesn't now. I can't remember if the other brosers I use on the MAC side of this computer spellcheck or not, since I don't use them very often. But I sure miss the spell check feature. I don't always see the typos with my eyes.

Do you have a macbook? What browser do you use? I agree with you that spellcheck is very important. I would not always be able to see the typos with my eyes. My typos are automatically underlined in red. However, sometimes I make a mistake and if it is a real word or letter, it does not always highlight.

I have an I-MAC that's almost a year old now. Got it last November. I don't think any spell checker will mark a real word as incorrect, except Los Angeles. That one always seems to get the red underline when I do have a spell checker that works.

You will have to live with it, and change browser whenever there is a need to do do. The problem is due to the fact that web pages are not programmed in the same way. Some pagess are optimised for(a) specific browser(s), so they do not load or work well on the others. I do not see the situation changing for the better. For example the new GMail does not support the Opera browser. Check the options on the browser that you use. Opera for instance suggested ways to minimise compatibility issues.

I haven't really tried a different OS aside from Windows and the only safari browser I used was on my brother's iPod Touch, and I don't used it that much, so sad to say I can't really help you here, but I could suggest trying to upgrade or install all updates that are required by your browser. Try to see if there are updates needed that you might not have noticed. If there aren't then I would just suggest you use Firefox instead, since it does most of the job fine.

Safari is more convenient to use. And I really like the browser but do not understand its quirks. However, I will keep in mind what you say. it may be that I just need to reboot my computer.
