I was so busy mylotting lately when i kept hearing my dog barks. didn't mind until after a few minutes i was supposed to go out when one of the tenants was looking at the gate. Well, I wasn't locked.
They warned me not to open it because a huge rat just came in the house. then, they called another tenant from our neighbor whom we buy our rice to
and kill the damn thing. thanks to them of course.
But would have been better If I were to put my Cats to the test
? I have also seen a huge rat inside the house, but my cats aren't allowed inside.
Anyways, that reminds me to put a aluminum screen since rats comes out of the man hole and goes into our house
and kill the damn thing. thanks to them of course.

You know I have patrol cats at home so before they grow up they are already inside my cat patrol's stomach
But I know they can manage to feast with a huge one

Hello Bhabycatch, that's good to know that you have cats patrolling inside of your home. if only my cats were allowed at home but they were not trained to poo in a proper place. we don't even have a litter box

they just went there if they can't find food outside wants to take some rest and if they can sense that rats are roaming inside the house

Ew, they came from the manhole? That's pretty gross.
Yeah, I think cats would be very effective. My dog acts like a cat sometimes. Or maybe because he's a terrier and he's into hunting small animals. It's pretty amusing to watch. It's gross as well, but seeing him in motion the way nature's meant him to be, it's like watching natgeo.
It would save you the cost of the window screens. Bring them in around midnight, and just take them out first thing in the morning.

Oh, you mean screens for the door?
My bad.
Yeah I think that would really help any future problem with the rats. So you could still leave your door open for ventilation and light, but at the same time it would restrict rats and other critters from entering your home.

Hello swirlz, I am just glad that I was able to close our door or it would have gotten in with out trouble. I feel sad because my cats are good hunters and yet they could not hunt unless they are hungry or something. well, i was preferring to gate screens. my cats hate to go out there with that dog at night.

You know what is funny about this? There was a rat that got into my house this winter so we took one of the wild outside cats and brought it inside and it was afraid of the thing. It did nothing. My dog had a better go at it.

Yeah my dog goes nuts! He will stay by that hole all night long if he hears something. When it runs out he chases it. But we have hard wood floors so the rat hears him when he tries to quietly walk to catch it. His nails need cut and he is loud when walking across the floor. It is halarious to watch it. You would think Tom and jerry nope more like hound and Jerry. I think they mixed those cartoons up because when it comes to field mice and wild cats they try not to cross paths.

Hello Amanda, hahaha
. But i was worried too, that if i put my cat there, it will just ran away because of the dog that kept barking when the rat was in one of the flower pots
. i should have let the dog gone free to get rid of it

hello mspitot, nope they didn't because the rat was too close to the door. besides, with the dog barking i don't think the cats can focus on the rat they might as well ran into the stairs instead getting real scared of the dog instead of the rat.

We have rat problems too. The problem is I think they already bred in the house. We have a cat at home and I think he's slowly ridding us of rats. There was a time when a snake came out of our ceiling. I think he was trying to eat one rat but there might to many because he was rushing out. YIKES!

Hello Knicnaz, Snakes can really be a lot worse than just mere crawling on places that they're not supposed to go. what if some of them can kill you or your household members? remember that they are more dangerous than rats. besides, you can capture the rat with the rat trap.

I think you are right, you have to detect and close the entry point of rats, no amount of killing will control the infestation so long as new ones get to enter and worse they might breed inside the house.

Hello Louievill, I guess I need to buy those Screens starting soon. I didn't realize rats can still be active in the sewers and come inside you're house with out noticing. that's why i can't let my dog set free with out my approval because she can pass through the gate.
. am thinking of buying another rat trap.

Hi Letran Knight: That's a really nice story
. I have a dog, its name is Simon and he is very good catching rats. No, my dog don't eat them but we don't need a cat
. It's a lovely fresh puddle. Have a nice day.

Yes, have your windows and doors screened so those rats will not be able to get inside your house, Letran.
We had rats the past months and have done many things to kill them. But it seems that after a method had killed a rat, the next days it would now be snobbed by the rats.
Lately, we bought Racumin, and so far the rats are nowhere to see .

Hello Simplyd,
That reminds me, I should buy a racumin tonight since i have rat situation in our kitchen. but we also have cockroach problem too. i guess i should give this racumin a try just in case, the rat that i saw last night wasn't that big compare to the rat that was killed by the tenants. anyways, my windows and screen doors are close.

My, you have wonderful tenants. I hope I have some of my own. Well, I have decent and very thoughtful ones but I had my share of the bad ones - the guys who didn't have the decency to pay their rents and go away without any guilt in their conscience. Anyway, it's one of the risks we take in trusting other people. And perhaps, like fate, it'a hit and miss things. Lucky for you, you have some good people you can trust.
