"Cos I Wear Boots All Summer Long"

Words of Stevie Nicks in case you're wondering and she LOVES wearing boots, doesn't she? Such a stylish woman, I love her and her music. However, this is about boots, not Stevie Nicks although the two tend to go together don't they? Today I posted some more entries onto my blog from my 1987 diary and the thing that strikes me about it was the fact I didn't want to be like everyone else in the way I dressed. However, it did help that I was (and still am) a Rocker so I specialised in buying unusual boots and whenever I bought a pair, I mentioned it in my diary. I did wear other clothes too, of course, not just the boots. Haha! I've worn red boots, high-heeled boots, decorated boots (the latest in 1987 having beads and feathers on the sides), allsorts and EVEN NOW I tend to wear boots that are different..my current faves are PURPLE, flat suede boots I bought with Christmas money at the start of the year. I get so many people staring at them as they're so different from the run-of-the-mill black ones. I'm so pleased I have carried on with this "tradition." I even have a black leather biker jacket that, if the Jane from 1987 was transported to 2011 I think she'd be quite pleased with it!

Red boots - I can't wear this.
So you must be really a boots lover! Imagine wearing red boots, high-heeled boots, decorated boots and even those having beads and feathers on the sides and your current favorites are the flat purple and flat suede! I don't wonder why you get so many people staring at you whenever you walk on your boots. On the contrary, I've never worn boots. I've never even attempted to wear boots in all my life. I've been so used to wearing fashionable low heeled sandals of various color but never did I imagine myself wearing boots. I think there are girls who can carry boots very well but not me.

Wow, those red boots are gorgeous but too high for me I'm afraid! In the 80s and 90s boots would come in all styles and colours but now it's a lot more conservative. In the 90s I had a pair of black leather boots with eyelets going up (around calf length with a nice, not so high heel) plus a brown suede, flat version but now I wouldn't be able to find styles like that anywhere. They've gone a bit boring, which is why I HAD to buy the purple boots rather than the boring black. I like to be different that way.

I think that is great if that is what you like to wear.

I'm wearing my purple ones tonight (or should that be LOGANBERRY which is the description of them lol) but I'm hoping the rain will ease by the time I get to wear them. They're made of suede you see and I haven't got any protector spray. Mind you, they were sprayed in their production.

I have loads of boots in several styles and colors as well, for which I enjoy wearing as soon as Fall starts. I especially enjoy wearing them with jeans and also have a few heeled pairs that I like wearing with dresses. I have two leather pairs that go all the way up to my knees.
