In my home country fruit like strawberries, raspberries and apples can be grown in the summer time. This gives economic prices then the supermarkets have to get these from overseas. Tropical fruits like bananas and passion fruit are shipped in from tropical countries. Oranges, limes, lemons and grapefruits come from Southern Europe. These are sent up to my home country from countries like Italy and Greece. In the winter fruit costs a lot due to the shipping costs. At the moment there are some lovely looking red grapes in the shops at the moment.
Can you get fruit all year round in your home country?
Which fruit in is your shops that you like at the current time?
Can you say which fruits are able to be grown in your home country?
Does you home country import any fruits from overseas?

My country export bananas abroad but it also import fruits like oranges apple, grapes, pears and the likes. I am more fond of tropical fruits so I'm glad I live in a tropical country where tropical fruits are abundant specially during summer time. I have mango trees at home which give me almost an all year round supply of mangoes. Bananas are also available in the market all year round. Watermelons, cantaloupe, avocados, soursop, and sweet apples are abundant here during summer. Kiwi fruits are also harvested from the norther part of the country as well as strawberries so we can easily buy them from the market when they are in season.

I'm happy and feel fortunate that I live a tropical region where all kinds of delicious local fruits are available all the year round
There are lots of popular imported fruits like oranges, apples, grapefruits etc selling at fruit stalls as well as in the hypermarket. I take local fruits like banana, papaya, pineapple, jackfruit and so on most of the time as they are very much cheaper compared to imported fruits. Anyway I still would like to enjoy eating apple and orange sometimes. Other than the local fruits mentioned which we can get at anytime there are still lots of delicious seasonal fruits like durian, mangosteen, rambutan etc during fruit season

Well, yes, lots of imports, but I am in the U.S.
In the spring, well, late winter, we start getting fresh fruits from Mexico, and as the season progresses, the produce comes from further and further north until it starts going south again about August, except for those fruits/produce that need a good cold snap to ripen like apples and grapes

Yes, Maxine, we have fruit all year round in Chile, although you have to wait for the season. There are some fruits that are imported, but not all of them are expensive. For instance, we don´t produce bananas in my country but they are cheap in all seasons. Now, at the beguining of Spring, I have at home oranges, apples, pears, kiwis and bananas. In a few months we´ll start with the Summer fruits. We can buy now some of the fruits (a little more expensive) that come from the north of Chile. I prefer to wait to suit my budget.

yes, I live in tropical country which always has sun on anytime in a year.Although imported fruits like grape, but still not many and its really costly compare with local fruit..
We can grow in our backyard but sometimes people do not want to do that, they build concrete all around then it will be better than conventional WP.
Have a nice weeked...

Yes..we can get them all the time..but like you the prices vary according to season. In the summer you can got to the farmers market and get fresh at a good price..otherwise you have to get them at the supermarket and you are at their mercy for what you pay!

I live in Costa Rica, and here, by the end of the year, exist the tradition of eating apples and grapes, this is because, in the past, they were kind of expensive and people can afford them only for the holidays, now, you can find them all year round, and a good prices, but, being in a tropical country, we have lots of local fruits, like bananas, pineapples, oranges, lemons, strawberry, mangoes, etc, all cheap and depending of the season, you can find a good price, bananas and pineapples, don´t have a particular season, so, you can find them cheap all year round.
