It sounds like cliche. But if you were at the same situation as Gandi,Jose Rizal,Benigno Aquino, etc, would you have done the same...dying and giving all your life and effort for your country and its people?I need honest answers.

In what way and what reason? I guess those people die for the country and become famous or well-known and are considered as hero because they're into it. But for me as an ordinary citizen...for what reason shall i die for my country. Besides, being an ordinary private citizen if ever I die protecting my country what is the assurance that I will be recognized then? So...I don't think I will. have a good day

Hi Jaiho! What I was talking about was the courage to serve or fight for your own country even if it risks your life or even take it.I don't mean dying for your own country for no reason but to be popular.Let us make Jose Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines,as an example.Even the Spaniards warned him that they will kill him if he continued to write against the spaniards and to free the Philippines,he still continued not minding his life.He kept on fighting the Spaniards so he was exiled sadly.

No way! I am willing to die for my country or the people who are living there. I don't find them more interesting or better than other countries or people who live there. I am not in big love with the country I am born or the people over there. Also I am against wars. They mostly are for reasons I don't approve. Like fighting in the name of some god or for a president or king/queen. I don't think one group op people is better as the other kind and these kind of wars are a lost case already since ages! And you can be sure this is a honest answer. I also am not any soldier grateful who is volunteering to fight a war somewhere to keep me safe. Such a soldier is not a hero in my eyes. He is just doing a job he likes and get payed for very well. I don't find them more valuable as any other person/worker in this world.

In some circumstances I would do that, but willing, ahh come on we are not living in 15-18th century, where people were born to die for there country ! I might get into battle if I know what I am fighting for. But I will go protect my country if I have to, the reason why I say " I would and I might " is that there are no wars now, and if I am so desperate to protect my country I would go in the army for instance. There you have the opportunity to fight for your people ! That was a joke. The army is to protect the country not fight for territory with others. I think I gave you a honest answer !
