i read in one article when Mancini is behind of silva performance this season
overall until now, silva had scored 2 goals and give 5 assist...wonderful achievement for the player who move from another league to another league...i think it`s fantastics..
he is the engine (with gareth barry and samir nasri)for city..
do you think Mancini really helps for increasing the ability and performance of David Silva this season??

I don't think Mancini is the factor behind Silva's stunning performance. Last season was his first season in the BPL and coming from a slower paced La liga, he sure will need time to settle down and accustomised to the frantic pace. The performance this year, I felt is due to him coming to terms with it.

If a player feels that the coach is believing in him, then he will have better performances, that is sure, because he has more confidence to try many things out and he will not be shouted at or punished somehow. I have seen only one game of City so far, the game against Bayern, so I cannot make a clear statement about City players, but this is the common case.
Gomez at Bayern started to play well when he felt that Louis van Gaal has confidence in him, Ribery has had a rough relation with the same coach and he hasn't produced great performances. Now, Jupp Heynckes seems to have great confidence in every Bayern player and every single of them has better performances than last year, especially Badstuber, Schweinsteiger and Ribery.
So yes, the way a coach handles his players as humans has a strong relation to the players performances.

I know that Silva hasn't played well against Bayern, but Bayern has a great team and there is not a single player in this world who can always play well. But if the overall performance is good, than a player can be categorized as a good player.
And I know that many players' performance is dependent a lot on how their relationship with the coach is. It seems that Silva is the case.

I think that this season, Man City are beginning to play more the passing game. And this suits Silva to the core. This is also the reason why Nasri also easily fit into the Man City team. The dirty work at the back and in the midfield is done by Yaya Toure and Gareth Barry while up front Nasri and Silva can be creative.
Cheers!

i still believe that city still need a great defensive midfielder in mancini scheme..
yes, nigel de jong did not play when city crush MU, but it doesn`t mean that city don`t need nigel de jong
i also believe that nigel de jong had quality as great defensive midfielder

Even without mancini's help, David Silva will be able to shine as well because he's a n excellent player with valencia and spain national team. I like his way of playing and his vision for goals as well as looking out for team mates. He's a versatile and important player, while it's man city's luck to buy him. I hope to see him playing well again in the seasons that follows because he's one exciting prospect.

Yes, that was I thought before. However, looking at latest performance of city when they played against Villareal. I have seen other midfield players like Nasri are also play important role for Mancini. They able to survive after goal behind, what a great come back. I hope there will be fantastic action when they clash with Man United on Manchester derby, really hot since both of them are on top of EPL table right now.
