Around two weeks, i had been having sore throat and fever that i had ignored. In fact, the fevers come and go so i thought i wouldnt need any medication. One classic treatment that ive heard is that gargling with warm water and some salt can help treat sore throat. I have done this everytime i get sore throat and frankly, i felt like i was just fooling myself... I dont think it works. Have you tried this and did it work for you?

where did you heard such rumors from? It is best not to believe some rumors without trusted source. If applied wrongly, it may be hazardous to your health while not actually treating what you are aiming to treat. I have not heard this before too. I guess the right way to treat it is to to a clinic to get diagnosed or have some antibiotics.

I have tried this and i can definitely say that this did not work for me. So, what I normally do is I drink warm or hot water to soothe the pain. I also make calamansi or lemon juice and mix it with some honey. This really does the trick for me. I hope it works for you too :) happy mylotting!

This will work in the initial stages and it will curtail drastic infection while supplementing with antibiotics. If your sore throat is bad perhaps you need some antiBiotics. Check with a doctor if the infection and swallowing difficulty have been there for more than 4 days. Do not allow the onfection to grow ; you will need straonger antibiotics for alonger duration then.

I tried that before, a friend told me that i should try that, but it didnot work for me, or cure even ease the pain, and it took about a week before it was gone, its hard to swallow and got also a fever for couple of days, and decided to go to the doctor to have some check up and he prescribed be some antibiotics and paracetamol.

It does help in relieving sore throat. But since you have fever (no other sickness like cough or colds?) and it's already 2 weeks, I think you better check with your doctor to rule out strep throat infection which has complications if it will not be treated immediately. Hope you're feeling better!

Hi Grace
Yes it certainly works, in our home we always do this for sorethroat, normally we don't use listerene for gargulling..
