People have different preference, besides the brand name of most popular automobile in the market, which country made car do you have confident with, and you are most likely to purchase? My uncle always prefer American car. Although it was 20 years ago, American car quality far below Japanese cars, he still prefer American car and would advise my father to buy American cars. Nowadays, I believe American made motor vehicle has great improvement at its quality besides at fuel saving. I, personally prefer Japanese cars, they are reliable still, even though Toyota has recall a couple of years ago. Japanese made motor vehicle still give me the confidence. What about you?

For the most part my husband and myself are in favor of Japanese vehicles because they seem to stay on the road forever. When we met I had a Dodge (American car) that I'd been driving for only three years and had already had to replace the motor and tranmission in the car and he had a Toyota (Japanese) that he'd bought used and was already 16 years old and still running very well. We ended up trading my car for a Honda (Japanese) and I've been driving that car ever since, so I've been driving it for going on nine years now and we've never had a problem out of it, knock on wood.

Although I know that German cars are very high quality, its the cost that I shy away from for German cars. As far as Japanese cars, sure - they seem to "live forever" but the ones that DO last a long time usually came with a high price tag too. I will always stick to American, because 1) IM AN AMERICAN and 2) We should all BUY American to keep our country strong !

If you asked me until 2 years ago I would have said German cars without blinking. I think those are very reliable, tightly made, long lasting.. I have to admit I don't really know American cars, never owned so can't judge.. But since I got me a Honda.. I fell in love with it.. Japanese cars are the best.. I don't think I'll ever get over it :)

I did not have any ideas which one is the best. My father got an old jeep was still good condition. We did driving it on damn road and it works well on it. I like it a lot.

When I get the money, I'm certianly going to buy a Japanese car like a really nice Nissan because they have longevity, good engines, good safety reports, and they look really nice and innovative! Plus they are fast and I'm going to upgrade and modify practically everything to make it faster and louder! Those are just merely dreams and hopes right now, but I'm going to carry out this plan and when this is achieved, I'll be so much happier! I want an altima or a 350z!

I live in Australia and have had four cars in my life and they have all been made in Japan, as much as I would love to have bought an Australian made car I have always had to buy the cheapest small car which has always been from Japan but I must say I have always been very happy with my cars, so I guess it is safe to say I have trust in the cars from Japan.

Well, I would have to say American cars. I always was a major fan of Ford Motor Company and I will always stick by them. I no longer look at Chrysler as an American car because they are now owned by Fiat. So, they are not for me. Never were anyway. GM, well, I am just not a fan. I would never buy a Japanese car ever. I do not like what they look like and they are not any better then any other vehicle on the road. It is all a smoke screen with them. Now, when it comes to the Germans, they make an awesome automobile. If there was no more Ford, I would buy German. But for me, it is FORD all the way.

Actually I prefer Citroen, from France, but it does not enter my country market anymore. Citroen has great suspension and handling. The suspension is hydraulics type, so it is very comfortable even though the road is very bad. For the second one, I prefer Honda, from Japan, which I believe it is made with quality, better than Toyota. American car is good but the electrical and instrumentation is too sensitive.

I personally prefer Japanese cars. They seem to last a long time with reasonably priced parts to repair them, they are easy to work on, although not as easy as old American muscle :) They also typically have the looks that get me, along with the performance I personally like turbo vehicles and American cars have not some out with the performance that Japanese cars have. German cars also have vast options with turbos. And they are built to last as well.
