South Africa finally set Australia a target of 310 runs to win the 2nd test. Australia fought back well to grab some quick wickets in the first session, but the century by Amla and some good hitting by Dale Steyn took South Africa to 339 all out meaning that the Aussies need a record 310 runs to win the 2nd Test to tie the series. Chasing this huge target, Australia are currently struggling at 35/2 with both the openers back in the hut. Vernon Philander accounted for them. Currently Usman Khwaja and Ricky Ponting are holding fort for the Aussies.
Do you think the Aussies can pull this off?
Cheers!

I think aussies may not be able to win this match and South Africa must be able to make it. it is based on preference for SA. let us see what exactly happens.?

Australia went on to win the match by two wickets. In a thrilling finish, debutant Cummins sealed the win with a four. The youngster had a memorable debut match by taking 6 second innings wicket and then hitting the winning runs in a tense finish.
Cheers!

Well it seems really difficult for the Australians as they have got a really bad start and one thing is sure that chasing such a mamoth total in the 4th innings is going to be a really difficult task. As my mind says today is gonna be last day n South Africans gonna win today.

BTW, the last biggest chase here was 290 odd for 8 by Australia against South Africa. So they have been there and done that in the past. So there is a possibility of Australia repeating it, but this Australian side lacks the greats of the past teams.
Cheers!

Its upto Ponting to play another gem and he has been a match winner for Australia. This is one innings where he can prove to the world that he is the best batsman of his generation. It will be foolish to write him off.
