The govt has list of known and suspected terrorists. Do think it's fair they pull someone out of line at the airport because of nationality alone? Yes..someone could have the same name as someone on the list..and that is unfortuante..but I don't think that they should pull people out based on race..country of origin etc..If they get through screening without red flags they should be let be. There are other ways to screen people before they even get to this point.

Do you think that they have actually managed to photograph each and every one of them. Normally the ones that they use to commit bombings and such are the new recruits who are caught up in the exitement of being part of such an organization. No in answer to your question I do not think that anyone should be racially stereotyped or abused by pseudo law enforcement people based on their race. And by name alone they should not be harrassed because if they have a name they have a face to go with that name. When the person arrives to pick up their ticket and they can clearly see that they are not the terrorist that they are looking for that should be the end of it. But as soon as that name hits the computer they have to spring into action in order to identify them before boarding. That is why they act so gung ho, because there are lives on the line and they have to make every effort to assure the safety of the public. Otherwise the public would lose faith in them, and would find other means of traveling.

It depends on how it is done. If one is looking for a certain criminal or type of criminal then yes it is correct to do. Let's face it if you were a law enforcement officer and you are looking at a situation where a majority of one ethnic group cause trouble wouldn't you keep an extra eye on them? Now that does not mean that I agree with just pulling someone over due to their race. If you are looking for a suspect that is one thing but for example just because someone is black and driving through a predominatly white neighborhood does not give them the right to pull the black person over. Now on the other hand if they have a complaint that a black male is peeping in through windows then yes they have a right to pull one over. That makes sense.
