Arsenal were hit by the mid week Champions League exertions as they could only come up with a lackluster performance at home against Fulham. Fulham took the lead through a calamitous own goal by Vermalen. Vermalen made amends for his mistake by scoring at the other hand. After that Arsenal tried their level best to take the lead, but failed to do so. This brings to a halt an amazing run of wins which lifted them to 6th in the table. What are your views on the match? Cheers! Ram

It is a bit late to comment on this game, but because I didn't have so much time lately, I will catch up now. I have bet on Arsenal and I was expecting them to win, but they didn't. I have watched some sequences from the game, and they were struggling to make the final touch. They have managed to get around the box but then they have hit a wall which didn't allow them to score. Eventually they did, but I was expecting more from them in this game.

Actually Arsenal were the dominant team for the match. But they simply could not put the finishing touch. One goal that they scored in the 2nd minute was ruled out correctly for offside. Then out of nothing Vermalen scored an own goal and after that Fulham put all 11 players in defense!! Cheers! Ram

This can happen against weaker teams, after they go in front they will not attack anymore, but put all the energy in destroying the other team's game. For teams that need points, it is compulsory to do everything they can to earn points and Fulham was rewarded for their defensive work with one point.

Yikes! Arsenal is on the way down yet again. I don't even know Fulham so I assume they should beat them.

So they are a spoiler. That is what we call a team who can mess up the favorite's chances.

Yes, Fulham is one of the more consistent middle table teams in the EPL. They generally finish between 8-15th spots in the table. But they make it difficult for teams to beat them. Cheers! Ram

Yes, but to give them credit, they have just had a good run of victories. I think part of the toll was because of the Champions League exertion. And part due to the own goal. Cheers! Ram

Fulham played a very organised game and very nearly grab an unlikely victory. As for Arsenal, it is very obvious that they are having a hangover from the match against Borussia Dortmund. They are lacking in pace and urgency. It was only towards the end, with the substitutions that they look like the team the strung those few victories together.

Fulham's defensive work was workmanlike. Of course it was not as heroic as Newcastle United, but they just about did enough to get the job done. The own goal of course really helped them. Cheers! Ram

Well, you are right.. I think Arsenal has tired and lost of concentration when played against Fulham last night. Even RVP has several chance but unable to convert as goal. This will make tonight match between Liverpool and City effect the position on the table.

Yes, Arsenal created a lot of chances. Arshavin even scored an offside goal. But they just could not kill off the match and Vermalen's error left them with a lot to do in the end. Cheers! Ram
