I would love to move to the USA

I notice that there are lots of different prices that are on houses to rent, as well as to buy.The prices of places differ a lot depending where in the USA you want to live.I would love to know if LA is more expensive to live in rather than any other part, as I am sure that maybe that would be for the richer people.Remember I live in the UK, so I really do not have a clue about prices.

The house is down, and many people rather rent houses or apartment, British might call it flat. So, condo is definitely cheaper now, I heard last time, the price gone down around 30% to 40%, it won't go lower than that. If you want a green card, you can invest $500,000 to purchase a house, and the government will grant you a green card. So, that might sound a pretty good deal to you if you really want to move to the U.S.

Yes, we do call an apartment a flat.I have never heard of a green card.I feel that it is the same here to do with costs of things. It must be the same when it come to getting a job there, that there is not many jobs.Perhaps I have been watching a lot of TV where it looks nice in LA, but they are the places that they show you, they are the dear houses, where as they never show you other areas that are where they are cheaper.

Buying a house here in america is no picnic. Believe me. I live in New York City and here, everything is way expensive. Maybe in some parts of the country there are better prices, but with the current economy, no one is buying anything right now. In fact, people are loosing their houses. I would not recommend anyone to move here to the U.S. It is in shambles.

It is now a world economy and things are a wreck all over the world. It is a shame that we all have to live like this now. But we must blame the greedy politicians for causing this disaster.

I think that it is just as much of a shambles here in the UK.There are hardly any jobs, plus people like there, here they are also their houses took off them for non payment.

Prices vary dramatically even within LA, assuming you mean Los Angeles, as opposed to Louisiana which is also LA, lol. Right now the housing market is really bad for the sellers and landlords and good for people wanting a place to live. Many people have homes where they pay a monthly fee for maintenance of the common areas, whether they own townhouses or condos or even manufactured homes in senior communities, and they need tenants in order to offset their fees and taxes and some are finding it hard to fill their vacancies. Also some that bought expensive homes a few years ago at the top of the market and borrowed against their equity now find that they owe much more on the home than it is now valued at and cannot sell without taking a tremendous loss. But there are actually some very good deals in the housing market right now in the US, if you are a buyer.

Here in the Uk it is a problem to get on the housing ladder, as there are hardly any jobs and the way the economy is, well, I hear it is the same there with you.I feel sorry for all the people that are losing their houses, as a lot of them have lost them due to no jobs being out there.I think that I will have to stay put here at the moment and see if there is a way I can save some large amount of money up first.

Alot of areas in the US are very expensive. Parts of LA and surrounding areas would be expensive. It really depends on what area.

I take it then, that it is just like where I live then, there are good areas to live as well as bad areas to live. Also there are the posh people, with loads of money and there are people that are like me.I do not know much about LA, or the areas, but I do like some of the houses that they have there.

If what you have saw was on TV, specially on the movie. All house will look great, even for a clean cops. Dirty cops or dirty jobs will make someone live in the palace and having lot of money. But they never feel secured. What you pay is what you get, the more money the more fasilities you'll get. Also for the opposite of it.

You are right what you are saying you get what you pay for and to be honest the UK has the same problems as the USA so think I will stay where I am for now and see how things work out.
