hi guys.. I just wanna share my experience a while ago, around 6 am when I was about to turn off my computer.. I heard my cousin's husband shouting and saying FIRE!! I though it was just a firecracker.. when I finally noticed that not far from our house the compound was caught in fire.. I was so scared.. we didn't know what to do.. I just ran into our things for safety.. and somehow helped my neighbor with their things..
It was so scary seeing a large fire eating stall and stores in our village..
have you had any experience with fire?

Wow! That would be scarey. I have never witnessed a fire like that but I would be scared. Are you homes okay? We have seasonal fires here and occasionally they get close to where I live. It is very scarey to even think about it.

HI Emdjay,
I have had many experiences with fire. When I was 5, I caught on fire playing with fire and did not walk for a long time...months. When I was 11, I caught a huge field on fire, playing with fire. When I was 12, a barn attached to the house where I was babysitting got struck by lightning and caught fire. That was scary! I've had a grease fire and a fire while trying to make candles. My ex husband caught our bed on fire by smoking in bed. The list goes on and on. And oddly, I'm not as afraid of it as you would think. I collect candles. @jaiho2009 (39140)

I haven't had such experience.
last year I also witness a big fire here around our area and that lasts for hours before the fire was put off.
I am sure that would be scary and devastating for the family who lost their belongings.

We were sleeping when suddenly we hear our neighbor knocking and shouting at our door. A fire broke out from a street just across our block. My husband went up the roof how far it would be.
Then, we suddenly were all bringing out our things, with some neighbor's help and stayed at an open basketball court. I was so nervous, i nearly dropped my daughter, when i scooped her from bed.
It was one of the scariest time of my life. Luckily, it didn't reach our block.

Way back in high school we had this fire on an adjacent compound and this prompted the school principal to order for a suspension of all classes. Personally, the fire did not scare me. The atmosphere during that time is actually good because the students are all smiles with the suspension :) Seriously, it really is scary witnessing a fire. Just seeing the smoke coming from the burning properties will send shiver in your body, what more the added anxiety of the people in panic.

So far I've not seen or experienced being caught on a big fire and I would not want to experience that. 'Though when I was I guess 12 years old we nearly had a fire on the house we're renting. It came from the ceiling, I was in the school that time. And when I came for lunch, I was scared seeing all our things outside and the house has water everywhere. Good thing it was immediately seen by our neighbors. That day we immediately found a new house to rent and left the previous house, my mom just don't want to risk staying there for another night.

I have also experienced it before when our house caught on fire but fortunately it didn't damage our house they immediately stopped it, I was also at the school, when I got home I was surprised that our kitchen has been damaged,, and good thing my mom didn't get hurt..:)

Oh no...I haven't lost everything!! Not even close. I've just had a lot of close calls with fire but only been seriously hurt once and that was when I was five. Ive learned to have a respectful fear of it.
