This is a new product to me. It's bacon bites precooked. It comes in a pouch and seems to have a long life in the frig. This works great for me. We love bacon but just can't include it in our diet. Now I can get the flavor with just a small spoon full and not sink our diets.

Are you talking about bacon bits? I have been using them for a long time now. I don't always but them though. I like them in a salad and sometime when I make scrambled eggs. They are very tasty and like you said, you can have the flavor without having to make tons of bacon.

I've used bacon bits also, but these are in a plastic pouch and are much softer and seem fresh. I kept my first package in the frig for over 4 weeks and it was still very fresh. To me this product was a great improvement. Look for it in the section where they sell bacon, the real stuff.

Okay, so they are not called bacon bits, they are called bacon bites. I will look for them and give them a try. Thank you for that product. I bet they are good in lots of things. But I just remembered, bacon bits also come in a plastic pouch. I will look next time I go shopping.

I have seen dried bacon bits in a jar before for adding bacon flavor to salads and such. I don't recall bacon bites in a pouch. it sounds like a good idea for any bacon lover. i will have to check this out the next time I am in the grocery store. Thanks for the heads up on the bacon.2 people like this

The bacon bits in the pouch are much softer than those in the jar. These do up nicely in a salad too.

I use two small tortillas with shredded cheese and the bacon bits to make a bacon quesadilla. Pop in the microwave for about 30 seconds and you have lunch.
Now you just made me hungry LOL

Hi Pat I just wanted to come and tell you to look on Pillsbury.com
there are some wonderful crescent rolls with cheese and you could add those bacon bits to them.
I am going to make some this weekend think I will do both cheeses cheddar and mozzarella and sprinkle the bacon bits in rather than onion. Or I might add some onion but deffinately the bacon bits LOL

Thank you very much for giving me best response. Very kind of you. I cook all the time so I am always concocting something new.
Dominos Pizza has a bacon pizza to die for thats how I figured out to buy the small flour tortillas and make quesadillas.
Thanks again.
