I know swimming is very good for the health and in fact I consider to swim more often. However, it is the winter now and it is so cold and therefore I can not go to swim. I wonder whether it can make me feel warm if I buy a diving suit to swim. But it seems to be so weird to wear diving suit in the swimming pool

Don't you have any indoor swimming pools? We have several here. Very warm and feels so good after being in the pool for a while and then going out into the cold and crisp air. Hope you find one.

Do you have saunas there? They are very invigorating.

Ewww rather you than me, I find swimming totally and utterly boring, yes good for the health, but I'd much rather be working up a sweat in the gym on the cross trainer, treadmill or bike, then doing weights afterwards. I am not a good swimmer to be honest, I can swim a length in the pool then I am tired out, but I can do 45 minutes on a cross trainer and feel good. I admire you for being able to swim and enjoy it. Maybe you should ask them to warm the water up first LOL

I went to Coral Bay in Western Australia in the year 2000. I was there in the winter time. I put on a wet suit to go snorkeling because the water temperature was cold. It made me feel toasty warm and very comfortable indeed. I believe a diving suit would be just as good. You would have to ask permission to wear a diving suit in the swimming pool. However in theory it seems an excellent idea.

It would look really weird if you are wearing diving suit in the swimming pool. Ha!ha!ha! Indeed you are right in calling it "a crazy idea". Nevertheless, you really feel like swimming this winter time and a diving suit will be helpful enough to make you feel warm go and try wearing it and see how it will benefit you. But make sure nobody sees you.

Well, the diving suits are designed to keep people warm in cold water, so it would probably work. I have never worn one. I am pleased to have access to an indoor pool.

Wow you are very passionate about swimming. Swimming is a fantastic way to be fit and healthy, it can also make you taller! But if you're still young and still possibly growing. I love swimming too but I don't enjoy the pools, the chlorine hurts my eyes and I feel really uncomfortable swimming in chlorine. That's why I usually go to the beach but only during the summer. It is quite cold during the winter but I reckon as long as you're indoors then I think there is not need for a diving suit.
Unless you want to go out to the beach or something, out in the open air then that would be very cold. I thought pools tend to be quite warm. Some pools actually have warm water such as the indoor ones. But once you're in the water, the temperature balances and you'll eventually feel warm anyway. I don't think there is a need for a diving suit. Diving suits are commonly used when you're out in the beach or ocean.
Try the indoor pools where it's more warm but if you're still cold then why not. Buy a diving suit. Better if you stay well and fit then have people look at you. @AshwinSajith (602)

Ha ha :) that is a nice one.. But I realy dont think it is crazy because these suits are ment to keep you warm. So you want to exercise and you have got the means, why not go for it? Yes, probably you will get some stares but then if you ignore them you will surely have a good and a refreshing workout..
