I am big fan of J. J. Abrams and his style of work. His new serialized mystery drama "Alcatraz" is about to premier on Fox. I am super excited about this project and is ready once more to be the part of a mysterious journey like Lost. The premise looks promising and with JJ behind the scenes, I am sure it will turn out to be a very interesting and enjoyable show.
For those who are not aware, Alcatraz is set on the backdrop of the infamous prison island. The plot revolves around the unexplainable overnight disappearance of all the infamous inmates & staff members of the prison in 1963. The unexplained mystery turns even thicker when one by one the dreaded criminals start showing up in 2011. Unaged.
What do you think?

I watched the whole series and was very disappointed in the end. It started out as a very promising and intriguing story, along with an excellent cast of characters. As the series progressed it seemed to slow down and became more a series of individual stories based around the inmate of the week.
The real disappointment was at the very end because the whole scenario was left totally unexplained.
I hate to watch programmes that offer such a mystery and simply end with no explanation offered, which makes me feel rather cheated.
