That makeup turned my face green!

So my daughter had some makeup that was too dark for her. She gave it to me, rather than throwing it out. I said I would be able to put a dab of it in my face lotion to have a tint on my face… I don’t like heavy makeup and I do it a lot with one kind of liquid makeup I have… well I tried it with my daughter’s makeup and it turned my face olive green… where I mixed it in my palm was also olive green… ugly! That crap went to the trash.
Have you ever tried something with your makeup and it didn’t work well? Did you ever turn green from a makeup? My hair turned green once when I was coloring my hair… but that’s another discussion.

That's really weird! Was it an actual foundation or was it one of those primers or..oh gosh, I can't think of the word to describe it lol. I have seen makeup that was actually green in the container and you can use it somehow to balance your color? or hide blemishes I think. I'm not exactly sure how to use it but I've seen it in makeup stores.
It seems weird that just a foundation would turn you green. Lol it would be good makeup to use if you ever needed to add something to a Halloween costume!
Hopefully this makeup doesn't irritate your skin at all.

It's Color Syay Makeup Fond de Teint. The color is Early Tan. It's not green in the bottle but is green on my face. Ugly! I couldn't wash my face fast enough. It looked like that green camouflage paint the military uses.

Oh gosh! Then I don't think the makeup was supposed to do that. I've never had that happen to me and I think I'd be pretty shocked if it did. I wonder if you'd be able to take it back to the store where it came from. Hopefully you didn't put it on before you had to go out somewhere! Definitely stay away from that stuff in the future! I think I also will too...

wow lol I never would have guessed that would happen. I have on occasion gotten makeup that looked like the right color for my skin but was a little to dark and caused my face to be slightly orangeish. Now I see people walking around who are much oranger then that all the time for years and I think how ridiculous they look all they have to do is choose a different shade of makeup so it matches there skin. Why walk around with an orange face looking like a pumpkin it looks awful. But I've never seen makeup make anyone turn green thats so weird lol.

It certainly is weird and I threw it in the trash. When I get ready I will order me some from my online store at Avon. Even the dollar store brand would be better than that stuff that turned me green.

Wow, makeup making your skin turn green. That is not good. Must have been something there in the chemicals that did not agree with you and your skin. I know I would be making a complaint to the company if I were you just so they would be aware of it. I do not wear makeup, and most lotions I have issues with so I have to be really careful with them, but coloring my hair even for like Halloween has been an interesting issue as well. So I can relate with color changes.

hi pointlessquestions I once dyed my hair platinum blonde and it looked like silver hay,it dried out my pale caramel colored hair and my husband was my fiance then had a fit,." What did you do to ruin your pretty hair" i burst into tears and he t ook me in his arms, sat me down and told me that he loved my weird caramel colore hair and that I loved awful as a blonde. I did too as it dried my hair out and the shade was all wrong for me. so I dyed it back to ash blonde as thats what matched my natural hair.I tried a r eally good sahmpp and conditioner and it regained its shine. I was close to a natu ral blonde bu t not there yet very pale brown hair now its silvery white and I have blue green eyes. an olive color oh that must have looked and felt awful too much chlorine in a swimming pool will turn my hair a greenish tint too. yuck

Gray? Wow! Well, mine was like olive green.. maybe gray and green mixed together… it was awful. Sometimes I think the chemistry in our skin can affect how a makeup looks on us.

Long ago and far away, I tried putting green food coloring in my liquid makeup for that alien affect (it was Hallowe'en) but a few days later the makeup went back to its original color (in the bottle -- I did wash my face after the party).

Hi Pointless, you seems to be experiencing something weird with your make-up. Well, your make-up was made of what type of ingredients? So far, i never experience this type of situation. I only ever experienced once where my make-up had turned my face not as what i like it to be. It had made my face turned more ugly.
Now, i prefer to use less make-up as much as possible. By the way, you are coloring your hair using what product until your hair turned green? Just curious, my friend...

I don’t know… it was some stuff my daughter and it was too dark for her. I tried diluting a little with lotion like I do my own makeup to use as a tint, and it was horrid.

You are right… it takes skill to look beautiful and NOT look made up. I need very little makeup because I don’t have facial wrinkles.
