What are ways to Drive Traffic Visitors to a Blog Besides Article Marketing?

I know about article marketing, seo marketing, social media marketing, social networking, social bookmarking sites... what else? Google alert marketing! -- oh yes, it is my first time to hear it that there is google alert to help drive visitor to a blog, what else? What else? ...oh blog commenting. Does blog commenting help us to drive traffic visitors to our blogs? What else? Please share so that I would know what else do you use in driving traffic visitors to your blog.

Some people pay for backlinks from quality and relative sites,submission to directories,traffic exchange sites ex. easyhitsforU.com . That is all i know i hope that helps.

Oh thank you and paying for backlink is spending another money, but I think its okay as long as it is 'cheap' and affordable.

Content is king. Thats why most say. If you send me a PM and add me as a friend and link me to your blog I can give you a more sophisticated analysis of your blog.
Do you currently earn money from your blog? If so you are already heading the right way. :) Good job. Most internet marketing gurus are just scammers that pretend they are gurus. Learn from your peers. Learn from other peoples success stories. What do they do that you dont?
Then use it on your blog.
Also, maybe you can make friends with your peers in the same topic. :)

Apart from those that you have indicated, I think you may also try directory submissions. There are known to be hundreds of those listing directories that offer free listing [with reciprocal link in may cases] as well as for a small fee.
Have you also tried BlogCatalog's VIB membership? For about $20 they offer a privilege member status and it is my experience through the trial period that there will be some good traffic rush.

I would say thats enough just concentrate more on the blog contents..
Giving away some freebies that you can afford is also a great idea,, people do come on your blog thinking may b they can win it too!!
Eg- You request people to send you some great and original one liners for your blog and the best or best 3 chosen gets a reward.. The ideas are infinite..

Ah. Okay. If I would concentrate on my blog contents, is it okay if I focus on a quality content rather than a keyword research? A keyword research is hassle and I experience once in my life that there is one company who didn't give any keywords to a writer. They just need a quality content because the best keyword would just follow after you write a quality content. I am not sure if this is effective.
