. social sins at pinoy big brother

The other night, at Pinoy Big Brother, some chosen members of Team High Voltage and Team Wayuk, were made to categorize their team mates to the following social sins ; Katamaran (laziness) , Katakawan ( Greed ) , Ganid , Kahalayan , Inggit (Envy) Poot (Hatred) & Kahambugan (Bossines). My husband and I kept laughing , when Paco was tagged for kahambugan , poot & ganid. Biggel was tagged for ganid, inggit and poot. Kevin was tagged for Katakawan & katamaran, while Wendy was tagged for Kahalayan and Tin too for Katakawan. And they had their mug shots! We had more laughs again last night, when a real attorney, tried to interrogate the accused housemates. The attorney really pointed out Paco’s examples of poot, kahambugan ans ganid, but Paco was really defending himself. But what I can agree is Paco being accused for Kahambugan and poot. As to his being ganid, I think he is not. He has reason for reserving some money for themselves, instead of giving them all to Lynn. I also agree that Wendy is accused for kahalayan. What’s your thoughts guys?

I haven't watch the show for a week now, this is due to being not feeling well but I think they are all deserved to be tagged as such. I've read in their FB page that wendy is really has some kind of lust to Carlo and as we all know that Paco is Hambog and bossy while Biggel still feels hate towards his father.

Try watching it online my friend, so you can see their reactions. And i totally agree with you on your opinion. The cameras cannot lie to their actuations. Wendy is a shame to the Filipinas. Imagine being intimate with Carlo at the pool?! Her boyfriend spoke about her acts and he was ashamed of it.

I partly watched the kissing part of Wendy-Carlo & Kevin-Tin, I think it is more personal on Wendy-Carlo part, I've seen them lying on a couch or bench in pool and Carlo kiss Wendy, that's foul and unfair for Lance (Wendy's BF). I've also watched the episode when Wendy and Carlo sleep together at one bed as Wendy's as her punishment. When they both heard part interview of Lance, they both realize that what they've done is very wrong. I think they are making up now and responsible in what they are doing.

I think that is the effect of being isolated from the rest of your known world and all things you do in the house would be seen magnified there since you are being watched and observed by your co-housenmates and the whole viewers of the show. I think it also makes me think of looking back at myself and see myself through them. I guess it is just a reflection of a sample of our culture that is repressed in one household and is being scrutinized by the viewers. I really appreciate this show because it somehow show our Filipino Traits and study about them. Although it is shown in satirical way but I guess that is the collective traits and culture of us Pinoys.

That's true my friends. And there'e no better judge than the viewers and Kuya. So, let the accusation, be a constructive criticism , if you think that it is too much of a bad trait for you. Change if you must, you attitude so that the bad impression will be erased.

i think the accusations are exaggerated, of course. the show is to make the audience join the accusation or defend the big brother participants. the appearance of a lawyer is non-essential in the show. it could have been better if among the participants, they try to defend and accuse themselves. that could have better intense and emotional.

Yes, it was indeed an exaggeration specially the appearance of an attorney. I think an ordinary intelligent person can very well do what the lawyer has done. But , my husband and i were laughing that a lawyer was there to interrogate the accused further. To us, the lawyer is meant to exaggerate and make funny the situation.

I heard from my friend, though I do not watch the series... What is ganid? (sorry, I am not good with tagalog terms) ... If I were to categorize myself it would be Inggit.. I do not see myself in the others unless I know what Ganid is... hehehe...

I am giving Paco a high five...he is good, very intelligent , he can speak what is in his mind, every action he did have a concrete explanation/reasons, and a suddenly realized that he has special cuteness... I felt bad about wendy, maybe big bro wanted to give wendy a lesson for being flirt, but i;m proud of her honesty but her admission of being playful is very detrimental to her reputation as a girl and to his family, people will possibly judge her and give her a remarkable bad image because we are pinoy, and pinoy uphold highest morality... Good luck to all of them!

Yeah, i feel bad for Wendy too. Her flirting was viewed on national tv. In fact, her boyfriend was interviewed and feel bad about it too. I must admit Paco, is intelligent, but sometimes he appears a braggart and controlling person already. At this early, i don't have a guess yet as to who might win.
