Getting what you want in ways you didn't expect

Today my husband drove around from shop to shop, because he was looking for a table for our basement. He visited shops on our own island as well as shops on the neighbour islands. He found several tables, but there was something wrong with all of them: They weren't the right size, they weren't made from the right kind of wood, they were too expensive for our budget etc.
He had to return without a table and he was sad and disappointed. 4 hours later my mother called. She didn't know that my husband had been looking for a table, but she said: "I am calling because one of my friends just told me that she has a table that she doesn't need anymore and she wondered if you would be interested in that table" My mother described the table and it was exactly the kind of table my husband was looking for!
Have you ever experienced a situation where your wish was fulfilled in an unexpected way and what happened?

Hi... That was really lucky.. What a coincidence.. Life is full of such mysteries... I, unfortunately, have not been so lucky as to get what I wanted... never by any means... :( I congratulate you, therefore, on such a gain which you had wanted so badly.. Take care... have a good time...

I was so surpriced when my mother called me and told me that her friend had a table that she didn't need anymore. My first reaction was: "That is too strange, I don't believe it" but it was true, she really had exactly the kind of table that my husband was looking for and she was looking for someone who wanted to receive the table. I believe that things happen for a reason and I don't think that it was a coincidence that my husband drove from place to place without finding a table.

Hi Porcospino, what a nice story...I truly bellieve things happen
for a reason...The entire time he was driving around looking for
the table the neighbor was looking for someone to give the exact
table he was searching for...
THe only thing to say about something in this situtation is:
Thank you God...remember everything happens for a reason...thats
why he could not find a table to his liking...

That is also the way that I think about it. I think that it wasn't a coincidence that he didn't find a table. My husband was disappointed because he didn't find a table and he never imagined that we would receive that phonecall from my mother. But sometimes things happen in ways that are different from our limited way of thinking, we don't always see "the bigger picture" and we don't always understand the reason why some things happen.
