my husband and i decided to spoil our son a little. we bought him a weedeater, a leaf blower, a rake and a box of trash bags. :) yep!!! he gets to do some yard work this week! hahaha...(he really does like working in the yard) before he had a chance to open the boxes and use the equipment, my mother went and opened the weedeater box, put the machine together, grabbed the extension cord and started doing the yardwork!!!!!!!! WTH! when we brought the products into the house, we stated loud and clear that these were for my son. but she completely ignored that remark! uuugggghhhhh!!!!!! i take my daughter to work, come back, mom and sister take off, leaving the weedeater and cord in the front yard for all the neighbors to see! how rude!!!!! leave the machine dirty and cord all over the yard. at least my son was able to open the box for the leaf blower and put it together. he went and cleaned up the mess she left behind. he's still mad that he didn't get to use the weedeater first. you know how boys can be about their new toys. ;)

exactly! they expect my kids to give the respect but won't give my kids any respect. i get so tired of it all. i'll be so happy when they all move out of my house.

Hi friend, good to know that you are giving work to your kids, your son is really smart enough. I wonder why your daughter is in this sort? it is really hard to raise this modern kids, we need more patience for this..
