Only for a few minutes as a fortune teller told me I would start for myself, first at home, it would be a success and something I really like to do. I thought about what I would really like to do (I already did soo much) and decided there is nothing at all (at least not that I would start my own business with). So I am 10 months later now, don't have my own business, started nothing and still did not come up with anything I really like. I think I will pay her a visit again in March and tell her how I am doing now (I wrote down every single thing she told me).

a pleasant day deodavid, upon reading your main topic, a flashback turn to my mind. as i am an employee before working in a consultant company. wherein, long time ago, my family have planned that sooner we will put up our own business. hence, that time have arrived, so i decided to change my career from an employee to self employed since we have decided to put up our own business now. but, as days goes by, members of my family turns their back. as the whole responsibility was all left to me. as a consequence, i am now all alone in the plan. thus, this situation leads me not to pursue anymore on this plan and go back again to being an employee in the future. and while waiting for that time to happen, i am doing a freelance work thru internet.

Actually I have done those things now, I give up work for business.. I know this is a big move in my life, but the reason is, I want to handle my time well and I can be the boss of my company, I am a nurse and in the Philippines, nurses don't get rich instead they become poorer..(just my opinion).. this move somehow change me because I have now a wider view of life and I am happy with this decisions..

I think about it every day. I am making some decent money as a freelance writer, and I am so tempted to drop my job and work from home, but I can't give up the security!

It takes a lot of courage to build your own business. It is not something you could decide on overnight. A lot of resources (human capital, financial capital, etc) would be needed and you must be prepared with the risks your are about to venture. I, myself would want to build a business of my own. Besides, who wants to be an employee for their entire life? It would be awesome if I could apply all the things I have learned in studying Business Economics with my own business. However, aside from I do not have a large amount of money in my hands, I am also a risk averse person. I do not like taking risks not just in terms of business but also in life. Thus, I do not think I will leave my future career in order to create a business.
