Is the microwave oven harmful to people's health?

In our office,there is a microwave oven which was produced many years ago.The oven often makes a lound noise when working.I think it must leaks when it is working and i think it must be harmful to health.When i talk about this, my colleagues don't mind at all.My lot friends,is the microwave oven harmful?

Any microwave oven is harmful. They say it's not the healthiest way to heat your food up. Though if it's very noisy and you feel like it leaks out something then maybe the best bet is to not use it, and eat something else for lunch taht doesn't need to be heated up. Or maybe ask the company to replace it.

The noise is due to the fan which is probably full of dust. A mobile phone can leak more microwaves than a microwave oven, without any sound. You should buy a microwave detector and make the test yourself to see what is the more dangerous : this microwave oven or your phone?

well i think it can be harmful if you would always eat ready to eat meals that you will just put in the microwave and eat that. of course that is because that particular food has a lot of preservatives in it.

Let's not forget that all microwave oven doors leak microwaves. The government decides how much is dangerous. Do like I do. I start it up then walk into the next room until it's done.
