Okay, the tax season is arrived. If you are living in the United States, you should know better it is time to file a tax until the deadline on April 15. Luckily, I got my W -2 fast, and so I just file my tax return as soon as possible. Another reason is because I need some extra money to buy the stuff I always wanted. I also have to get my crown and bridge done for my teeth, there will be a cost of over $1,000. So, this tax return might help a bit. How about your guys, did you done your tax return?

Randy and I filed mine today and we were glad to because we will be getting money back. Usually Randy wants to spend our return on things we do not need, but this year I was able to convince him to put half in savings and half in checking. I think it is great that he wants to save some and spend some. I am glad that Randy's former boss gave him his W-2 earlier this year than we did last year. last year we had to wait until the 15th of April to file because Randy's boss did not give the W-2s out until the very last minute. This year we got it earlier because we told his former employer that if we did not get it by the 29th of this month that we were going to report him to the IRS. It worked because we had gotten it on the 28th of March.

We just got our refund deposited into our bank account today. It is already portioned out to be gone. Our truck broke down a couple of months ago and we have been borrowing my sister-in-laws van so most of the taxes are going back into a used vehicle. If we can swing it we will buy two. Not looking at spending over $3000 for both vehicles together. Luckily we know a mechanic that buys and repairs vehicles for re-sale. He also has fair prices. I hope you successfully get your teeth fixed. I really need to have an eye exam (its been 3 years) but I am not sure we will be able to swing it. In one hand and out the other.... alas, such is life.

I always have to wait till April to do my taxes because a lot of my income is from investments. My broker does not have to send out(or post on line) the 1099 form until Feb. 15. Even then because of the nature of some of my investments, there are always corrected 1099s after that. One year I got a corrected one on April 15. Also because of the nature of my income, I have to do quarterly estimated taxes; so in effect I have to do taxes five times a year. So I did the fourth quarter estimated taxes which had to be in by Jan. 15 which was long before getting more than just a couple of the 1099s I need for regular filing.

I will be filing my taxes as soon as husband's W2 comes in. The company he worked for had two different owners and he has not received the W2 for the first half of last year. I cannot wait to get the W2 so we can file and save most of our money. I want to build up my savings account and hope that once my husband's health gets better we can find jobs and buy a new house.
